Carrying a suitcase in one hand and wearing a backpack containing Vulpix's Pokémon Egg, Roy walked into the hall and said to the waiting Xiao Muyi,
"I'm ready. Let's go!"
Xiao Muyi glanced at Roy's suitcase and backpack. A flicker of psychic light flashed in her eyes before she shook her head. "Too heavy."
"Give me one of them."
Roy understood what she meant. The greater the mass, the more difficult Teleport became.
With the suitcase's weight added in, Gardevoir could not Teleport all the way to the Xiao family villa in one go.
After giving it some thought and considering that she was a girl, Roy decided to hand the lighter backpack to Xiao Muyi.
"Be careful. There's a Pokémon Egg inside."
As he spoke, Roy handed her the backpack.
During the handoff, Roy's hand accidentally brushed against the delicate skin of Xiao Muyi's fingertips. He had never lacked female attention growing up, so he did not think much of it.
But Xiao Muyi's reaction was unexpectedly intense.
The instant their skin touched, Xiao Muyi stumbled several steps back as though startled.
Looking at the perfectly unharmed Roy, confusion appeared on her exquisite face for the first time, a face that had always been indifferent to emotion.
What a strange woman. Don't tell me she really has androphobia...
Roy muttered inwardly, though he smiled on the surface. "Miss Xiao, shouldn't we be leaving?"
"...Mm."
Gardevoir used Teleport once again, bringing Roy back to the Xiao family villa.
The moment his vision returned, Roy was stunned by what he saw.
In the courtyard stood a massive, entirely orange figure.
It had two long, slender antennae atop its head, a single horn growing from its forehead, a plump yet sturdy body, and a pair of wings that seemed incredibly small compared to its body.
Roy could not have been more familiar with that figure.
Nicknamed the chubby dragon, Dragon Country's pseudo-legendary Pokémon—
"Dragonite?"
It was Roy's first time seeing a pseudo-legendary Pokémon in real life. Excited, he carefully examined it.
Dragonite's average height was around 2.2 meters.
Yet this Dragonite stood nearly four meters tall. It was clearly no ordinary specimen.
Wait...
A Dragonite nearly four meters tall—there seemed to be only one in all of Dragon Country...
"Is this Mr. Lin's Dragonite?"
"That's right." Xiao Rong nodded with a smile. "To get you to that person's location as quickly as possible, only Dragonite can do it. I just called Lin Wuya and had him lend it to us."
"I remember the news saying Mr. Lin was in the Alola Spirit Realm?"
"Mm. Dragonite flew here from there."
"..."
Roy was speechless.
From the time he went back to pack his luggage until he returned here, only a little over ten minutes had passed.
Ten minutes to fly from Hawaii back to Shenghai?
That was the other side of the Earth.
No, considering Dragonite was already standing in the courtyard, it might have taken even less time...
At most, it could circle the globe in twenty minutes. Was that the speed of a Champion Trainer's ace Pokémon?
So jealous.
Roy took two steps closer and gently poked Dragonite's little belly.
"Wu~~~"
Dragonite narrowed its round eyes, clearly enjoying it.
Although Roy possessed Pokémon Affinity, this Dragonite's temperament was absurdly good. It had none of the arrogance expected from Dragon Country's strongest Pokémon. Instead, it felt somewhat similar to Squirtle... simple-minded and rather cute.
"All right, Dragonite. I'll leave him to you." Xiao Rong smiled. "Make sure you deliver him safely."
Dragonite nodded, stepped forward in two strides, picked up Roy's suitcase with one hand, grabbed Roy with the other, and set him on its back.
"Wu~~~"
Dragonite cried out again, signaling Roy to sit tight. Then its tiny wings flapped.
Every sight in Roy's field of vision instantly stretched apart to either side. In the blink of an eye, he found himself at the very top of the sky.
At such a height, Roy did not feel the air thinning. That was because a thin membrane of energy extended from Dragonite's body, enveloping him completely.
Dragonite flew at a speed Roy could not possibly calculate. When he turned to look behind them, he could only barely see sonic boom clouds forming one after another. He could not hear any sound at all.
So fast!
While Roy was still marveling at it, Dragonite suddenly began to slow down.
Still puzzled, he looked down at the ground and discovered the outline of the Great Wall...
"..."
"Wu~~~" Dragonite's gentle, guileless cry broke Roy's silence.
Roy, who possessed Aura Power, understood what Dragonite meant. It was telling him not to move around.
Then Dragonite slowly opened its mouth.
The air before it abruptly blurred, and Sunny Day rose.
Energy containing pure destruction gathered.
—Hyper Beam!
Seeing it with his own eyes was fundamentally different from watching it on television.
That terrifying energy fluctuation made Roy's Aura Power tremble.
The next moment, Hyper Beam blasted toward the seemingly empty clouds.
"Crack—"
Something like the sound of a mirror shattering rang out as a corner of the false sky was torn apart.
A "door" appeared in midair.
Beyond the door lay an entirely different world.
A separate space—in other words, a Spirit Realm!
Champion...
Roy's heart burned as he grinned.
He gently touched the Poké Ball at his waist.
At that moment, Roy had never looked forward more to seeing his own Pokémon become Champion-level Pokémon someday.
Perhaps they would even climb together toward that unknown summit known as the "Master."
Thoughts on Release (Please Read)
This book goes premium today, so I wanted to share a few thoughts.
I'm not here to play up hardships, just to talk about what I have in mind for this book.
I came over from another platform, and this is my first time writing on Feilu. I'm still not used to the fast pace here, so I'll write at my own pace for now. I hope everyone can read comfortably.
It's meant to be a feel-good story, but not brainless wish fulfillment. I can't even bring myself to read books with no basic logic, let alone write them.
Feilu fanfiction cannot get featured on the hottest recommendations, so writing fanfiction really is a bit of a disadvantage. I personally love PM stories, but I struggled over this for a while.
Then, after playing the Crown Tundra in Sword and Shield, I immediately got some inspiration. I stopped hesitating and decided to try writing according to my own ideas.
The games are turn-based, and the anime is actually pretty similar. Careful viewers may have noticed that in recent years, Pokémon battles in the TV series have basically become four moves versus four moves. Each Pokémon can only use four skills in a battle...
The spiritual, inventive battles of the earlier generations have disappeared instead.
I find that a bit of a shame, so I wanted to write Pokémon battles that fit "real fighting" as much as possible.
If readers have interesting move-set ideas, feel free to share them in the review section. Isn't crowdfunded writing popular these days? (Laughs)
Then, in order to make the scenes more grand, I decided to strengthen the Pokémon's combat power across the board. That is also why I added "Mythical-tier" to the title.
The Pokémon in the original work are honestly portrayed as somewhat too weak. If they merged with Earth, they could not completely replace the role of technology, nor could they establish a society where "Trainers reign supreme."
The enhancement of Pokémon strength is also a modest foreshadowing. Let me keep it secret for now.
It goes premium tonight.
I hope all you handsome readers can support the first-day subscriptions. They're very important.
As I said above, writing fanfiction is a bit of a disadvantage right now. PM stories have never really become popular on Feilu either. I'm not asking for amazing results—I only hope the royalties can put food on the table so I can keep writing...
If the royalties are truly so low that I cannot afford to eat, then honestly, I'll have no choice but to bow to reality.
After all, I'm not a child anymore...
So once again, I'm asking all you handsome readers to support the first-day subscriptions. Important things deserve to be said twice.
I'll try to update more after it goes premium. I can't compare to those tentacled monsters who produce a chapter every ten minutes. I have no saved chapters, so I can only do my best...

Passing through the "door," Roy stepped into a Spirit Realm for the first time in his life.
