Ch. 161The Starter Pokémon
Roy’s Mimikyu defeated Aihara Take’s Toxicroak with the Ghost-type Z-Move Endless Pavilion Night’s Temptation after Roy revealed that his Pokémon besides Ninetales could use Z-Moves. Aihara accepted the loss and sent out his starter Pokémon, Martial King, for the final battle.
- Toxicroak’s Poison Jab assault poisoned the two Mimikyu and wore down their defenses as Aihara Take urged Roy to use his Z-Move Ninetales.
- Roy activated his Shining Stone and revealed that Ninetales was not the only one of his Pokémon capable of using Z-Moves.
- One Mimikyu let Toxicroak pierce its body, then used Mean Look to hold it briefly while Roy’s other Mimikyu unleashed Endless Pavilion Night’s Temptation.
- The Ghost-type Z-Move overwhelmed Toxicroak with negative emotions, leaving it defeated and giving Mimikyu its second consecutive victory over a Professional-level Pokémon.
- Aihara Take recovered his composure, sent out his starter Pokémon Martial King, and prepared to continue the battle.
