The author does not really like reading comments, but I still need to explain a few negative reviews.
As for people saying I am just talking out of my ass, let me declare here that I am a player of Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero.
I first got into Honkai Impact 3rd in 2017. Although I was not active every single day, I still played on and off for over 1,200 days. I completed everything normally before Part 1.5, and I also watched through Part 2's story on Bilibili.
However, the author is not a lore researcher either, so some mistakes are unavoidable, though I will try my best to avoid them.
As for an explanation of the protagonist's abilities.
Although some people may have been misled by the title, I wrote in the synopsis that this story incorporates more than one game.
It was not as if I had not considered other names.
For example, "The Geo Traveler's Celestial Star" or "I Am the Geo Archon," but in the end, I chose Eden's Star.
First, could the Herrscher of Earth actually control rock?
In the Previous Era's naming, the previous Herrscher of Earth attacked by controlling rocks, so it was named after that characteristic.
Though it controlled them indirectly through gravity.
It was only after the Current Era discovered that Chen Tianwu's true ability was control over gravity and attraction that it was renamed the Herrscher of Stars.
And here, I was entirely making a voice actor joke.
Welt in Star Rail and Zhongli were voiced by the same person. (It seems Welt in Honkai 2 was as well.)
Next was whether controlling rock was reasonable.
My physics is not that great, but gravity is one of the four fundamental forces. What is wrong with using it to control rocks?
Without gravity, Earth would have fallen apart ages ago, all right?
Besides, it was called the Herrscher of Stars. Was controlling a planet really that difficult?
Gravity was never a simple attribute. Anything with mass possessed a certain amount of gravity.
Rocks have mass, and mass comes with gravity, so controlling gravity means controlling material such as rock. Nothing wrong with that.
Besides, a Herrscher's Authority has never meant only what it says on the surface. The Herrscher of Wind does not merely control wind, and the Herrscher of Thunder does not merely control lightning. Those are only outward manifestations.
I think it all makes perfect sense.
Next is the issue of martial soul fusion skills.
Could the Ice God Staff fuse with Eden's Star to become Meteor Ice?
I simply wanted to write it that way. Just treat it as a budget version.
Besides, if I wanted to, I could even fuse the Ice God Pearl and the Ice God Staff into the Ice God Staff.
And the martial soul fusion skill formed by the Star Staff and Eden's Star would be even more overpowered. Wouldn't that be even more unreasonable?
I will give you two hints: Harmony and Destruction.
As for the protagonist's identity, I did not choose it at random either.
The Sun martial soul's mutation fit Zhongli's Geo Traveler Celestial Star.
Even the Purple Radiance Heaven-Extinguishing Dragon bloodline had its purpose, corresponding to the Exuvia of the Adeptus Progenitor.
But anyone who has made it this far has surely accepted the author's wild ideas and settings.
The author welcomes those who enjoy this book.
As for those who do not, I will not force you.
