Dark clouds spread across the sky from the north, heading toward the Star Dou Great Forest in the south. But any sharp-eyed soul master who looked closely would discover that those were no clouds at all—they were densely packed soul beasts!
They were soul beasts from all over the world, hurrying toward the Star Dou Great Forest in answer to the Beast God's summons.
Not all soul beasts could fly, however. Some were running along the ground, only to find their path blocked by the city ahead.
"What are these soul beasts trying to do? Have they gone mad?!" Yan Shaozhe stared fixedly at the beast tide below.
Beside him, Elder Zhuang shook her head. "They haven't gone mad. Even if this were a beast tide, the attackers should be ten-thousand-year and thousand-year soul beasts. But look."
Yan Shaozhe looked again. Only then did he notice the many hundred-year soul beasts behind the thousand-year and ten-thousand-year ones!
There were even plenty of ten-year soul beasts and cubs following along!
What kind of monsters brought their children along to besiege a city? One wrong move, and wouldn't they wipe out their own bloodlines?
"You see?" Elder Zhuang continued. "They aren't attacking the city. They... are moving."
"Moving? How could the Star Dou Great Forest hold so many soul beasts?" Yan Shaozhe didn't understand.
Neither did Elder Zhuang. All she could say was, "Whatever they're trying to do, we absolutely cannot let them through."
Soul beasts and humans would always stand on opposing sides. Stopping them certainly couldn't be wrong.
Besides, the Douluo Continent was vast, and every nation had plenty of soul beast forests. If all these soul beasts moved to the Star Dou Great Forest, how would soul masters obtain their soul rings?
