History

Oolong terrorized a village by transforming into a towering, axe-wielding bull-headed monster and demanding its prettiest girls. Lin Xuan recognized that the intimidating “Ox-King” form was unstable and hollow, enabling Son Goku to see through the bluff and knock Oolong back into his true pig form with one punch. 8

After being exposed, Oolong attempted to flee through a rapid sequence of transformations. Lin Xuan identified that his shapeshifting could not be maintained indefinitely and instructed Goku to stall rather than attack. Once Oolong's five-minute limit elapsed, he reverted in midair and was captured; the kidnapped girls were subsequently freed. 9

Bulma recruited him for the Dragon Ball search party by giving him the choice of joining or being used as Goku's punching bag. He accepted immediately despite protesting that he did not want to travel with Goku. 9

During Goku's Great Ape rampage at Pilaf's castle, Oolong overcame his fear long enough to transform into giant scissors and sever Goku's tail, returning him to normal. 15 After Shenron was summoned and the journey ended, Oolong declared that he would return home and avoid future adventures. 19

Appearance

Oolong's natural form is a small pink pig wearing overalls. His transformations can make him appear as animals, people, machines, or oversized objects. 8 9

His decision to become scissors during the Great Ape crisis saves the group, though he does so while terrified and focused on surviving. 15 He is also notably crude and impatient when Shenron appears, repeatedly trying to use the wish for a pair of panties that will never get dirty. 16 17
