There's some real substance inside, so don't close this just yet. (laughs)
This book went premium today. So far, it has accumulated a total of 4,800 bookmarks over 71 days since release, with 290,000 words written. I'm leaving these figures here for anyone interested to reference.
First, let me explain the issue of the Killing Curse and the Shield Charm in the prologue. I can now say clearly that this is one of the foreshadowed points.
Under normal circumstances, the Shield Charm cannot block the Killing Curse, and this book respects that setting as well.
However, the protagonist's mother did indeed block it once with a Shield Charm, and that will be the only time it happens in this book. The exact principle will be explained around Chapter 160. It can be compared to the magic Lily used on Harry, while also taking the protagonist's own knightly traits into account.
I can't say any more. If I keep going, I'll give everything away. I don't answer many readers' questions because they're deliberately planted foreshadowing.
The following is the author's note.
Hello, everyone. I'm klason.
This is the first book I've signed a contract for and put behind a paywall, so it holds extraordinary significance for me.
I used to enjoy reading online novels. The first one I read was Inch Radiance, followed later by Douluo, Battle Through the Heavens, Tomb of Gods, and others.
As I spent more years reading, my tastes gradually became more varied, but finding a good book that suited my tastes also became increasingly difficult.
So in the end, I embarked on the road of no return as a writer. (laughs)
I also understand that no single book can suit every reader's tastes. For example, many Harry Potter fanfictions add Cthulhu Mythos elements, or stage a clash between technology and magic. There are quite a few such books, but none of those elements will appear in mine.
This book's foundational setting is based on Mr. Liu Yi's translation of Celtic Mythology, as well as the two versions of Le Morte d'Arthur translated by Mr. Huang Sufeng and Mr. Chen Caiyu.
I want to write a story set within the worldview of the seven Harry Potter books—one that does not completely depart from real-world cultural roots, yet is more "fantastical."
If this story can bring readers even a little pleasure during their leisure time, then I would be deeply honored.
Thank you all for your support thus far. I hope you will continue supporting me in the future.
Ten updates today.
Thank you? (???????)?
