Ice Bear King Xiaobai arrived quickly. When that massive white figure charged out of the wind and snow, Yan Hongchen saw him clearly.
Xiaobai carried an enormous block of ice on his back, his four paws flying over the snow. Despite his huge body, he left surprisingly shallow tracks behind.
He skidded to a stop before the Snow Empress, kicking up a cloud of snow, then grinned foolishly. "Mom, I'm back."
Turning his head, he spotted Yan Hongchen. His round eyes blinked. "Eh, it's you again. Long time no see."
Yan Hongchen gave a slight bow, his tone sincere. "Long time no see, Xiaobai. Sorry to trouble you again, and thank you for bringing me soul beasts."
Xiaobai unloaded the ice block from his back. It crashed onto the ground with a boom, scattering shards of ice. He patted it with a paw and said in his guileless voice, "It's fine. I'm a good kid who listens to Mom. Take a look."
The ice block was transparent as glass, and several soul beasts were frozen inside—fish, crabs, jellyfish, all in different forms, each retaining its posture from before death within the ice. Yan Hongchen stepped forward and activated his martial soul.
The instant his martial soul transformed him, his skin took on a rippling, water-like sheen, and his eyes became Glazed Rainbow Eyes. The Phantom Water Spirit Toad leaped from his shoulder onto the enormous ice block, tilting its head as it examined the soul beasts trapped within with its lively eyes.
Yan Hongchen said inwardly, Little Spirit Toad, see if there's one you want. This time, I want a purer water-attribute soul beast soul ring, preferably with a purification-type soul skill that can remove negative statuses.
The Phantom Water Spirit Toad gave an "Mm" and began sensing them carefully.
