The struggle with Doctor Lizard took Peter nearly an hour, and the subsequent research took a full six hours.
By the time he returned, the sun was already rising outside.
Peter's body had rested somewhat, and he felt invigorated.
Honestly, Peter's spirits had been quite high.
He was young, after all.
Most importantly, he felt a strong connection with Amazing Spider-Man.
As mentioned before, they were like brothers from different parents.
Even twin brothers.
Although Shadow Spider-Man had also had a significant impact on Peter, his tone was too gloomy, clashing somewhat with Peter's youthful disposition, making them a poor fit.
Peter first glanced at the glowing web in his mind.
Regrettably, following Shadow Spider-Man, the light from Amazing Spider-Man also ceased to shine.
This meant he couldn't travel to Amazing Spider-Man's universe for the time being.
He didn't know when the next light would appear, nor if it would be one of the two parallel universes he had already visited, or a new one he hadn't encountered.
However, perhaps it was a good time to focus on his own affairs.
Since Aunt May wasn't home, he got out of bed and sat at his desk, rewriting the [SPC-120703 Polymer Biomass Fiber Material Synthesis Plan] and the [web fluid optical microscope glasses].
SPC-120703 was composed of three parts. The "SP" was an abbreviation for Spider-Man, "C" was an abbreviation for copy, and 120703 was the designation number for Amazing Spider-Man's universe.
Combined, it meant the web fluid copy from Universe 120703, simple and clear.
Of course, this was just a convenient identifier.
In reality, unless Peter mentioned it, no one would connect it to Spider-Man from a parallel universe.
Before he could finish writing, it was time for school.
So Peter took his unfinished work to school and secretly continued writing during class.
The teacher, seeing Peter writing furiously, felt deeply gratified, praising him for being so smart yet working so hard, urging other students to learn from him.
Especially Flash.
Result: Flash's defense broken +1, HP -1, Hatred +1.
During the lab class.
Since the web fluid had been replenished, Peter didn't sneakily make web fluid this time. Instead, he openly produced the SPC-120703 Polymer Biomass Fiber Material and the web fluid optical microscope glasses.
He wanted to create samples to persuade Tony Stark.
Of course, it wasn't that he wanted to do it openly.
In fact, he was habitually researching in secret at first.
It just so happened that Ned, that fatty, came over to chat again, which also drew the teacher's attention.
At that time, Peter was placing the web fluid optical microscope glasses onto the lab's optical microscope and observing a small amount of the recently produced SPC-120703 Polymer Biomass Fiber. He didn't have time to put them away.
Thus, the teacher discovered him.
With no other choice, Peter once again used the excuse of his Stark internship project, stating that it was a task assigned to him by Mr. Stark.
The teacher was very pleased upon hearing this.
Being associated with a major corporation like Stark Industries made him feel immensely honored.
Not only did he not reprimand Peter, but he also asked if Peter needed any other help, telling him to just ask.
Thus, Peter inexplicably obtained a "pass" to use the school laboratory for free.
It could be considered a blessing in disguise.
During lunch, Peter tried to contact Tony Stark to promote his two research samples.
However, his messages were like stones cast into the sea, with no reply whatsoever.
This left Peter feeling very helpless.
He was a potential Avenger, so couldn't they at least respond without being so perfunctory?
Unfortunately, Stark Tower was located in Manhattan, and it was not only far from Queens where he lived but also separated by a river, making the trip inconvenient.
If it were a round trip… his after-school time would be too tight.
If Aunt May wasn't home, he could try going.
But with Aunt May at home, he had to return for dinner.
If, during those initial days when Aunt May was out, he had found an opportunity and decisively taken his experimental samples to Stark Industries, perhaps he wouldn't be in this predicament.
Alas, there are no "ifs."
And so, several days passed, and it was finally the weekend.
No new worlds appeared, and Peter continued with his usual routine during these days.
As everyone's favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, he did some training in the suit, chatted with Miss Karen, and continued to explore new applications for web fluid in the school's library and labs.
He actually made some progress.
But that could wait for later.
Because today, Peter had a more important engagement.
He was going to find Tony Stark!
Peter slung his backpack over his shoulders, pocketed the pocket money he'd saved up over the past few days, and took the bus to Manhattan.
After quite a bit of trouble, he finally arrived at the base of Stark Tower, and then... he was stopped.
No matter how Peter explained, the security guards downstairs didn't believe that a mere kid like him would know Tony Stark.
With no other choice, Peter had to "take a different approach."
He went to an alley near Stark Tower, put on the Spider-suit, and swung directly to the vicinity of Stark Tower, then ran straight up the wall.
He continued all the way to the rooftop. Before Peter could even get his footing, his Spider-Sense was triggered.
"Unidentified visitor detected. Preliminary assessment: illegal intrusion. Activating defensive mode." An electronic voice announced.
Immediately, a section of the ground opened up, and an Iron Man Armor flew out, speeding towards Peter.
Peter was slightly startled and quickly jumped away from his original spot.
"Mr. Stark, I'm Spider-Man, not an illegal intruder."
"No authorized information found in the database. 'Spider-Man' classified as illegal intruder. Defensive mode authorized to proceed."
The alarm in the room continued to blare.
Peter: .
"What happened to me being an Avenger trainee? It's one thing for the downstairs security to stop me, but why doesn't even the program controlled by the AI recognize me?"
Peter grumbled as he dodged the attacks from the Iron Man Armor.
Honestly, he was curious to see just how powerful this Iron Man Armor was.
But he was afraid that if he broke it, Iron Man would demand compensation.
After all, he was in the wrong for "illegally intruding," and he needed his investment for a project. If he ended up wrecking an Iron Man Armor worth millions before even saying a word...
It just wouldn't look good.
"Re-evaluating intruder strength. Defensive level increased!"
Just as Peter was dodging the assault from the first Iron Man Armor, another voice sounded.
Then, BOOM—
BOOM—
Two more Iron Man Armors flew out.
Peter: .
If you're going to act like this, I won't hold back!
