"Mason, open the door!" a voice came from the intercom on Mason's desk.
Peter turned his head to look at the fat Mason, who stood to the side, his mouth gagged and his face contorted in a cry.
Mason understood immediately and quickly gestured to a button on his desk.
"Mason?"
BOOM—
A skylight somewhere in the factory was opened.
A powerful gust of wind swept in from outside, and then, a figure rushed in.
He wore goggles on his head and a flight suit converted from a leather outfit. On his back was a huge pair of metal wings, conspicuously shaped like those of a giant vulture.
"A little surprise from a spider!" Peter shot out a strand of electric web fluid.
With such a large conductor, why not make good use of it?
However, Toomes seemed to have been prepared. As soon as his body fell from the skylight, he suddenly stopped. Then, his entire massive body began to spin rapidly, his two pairs of wings like a giant top, stirring up a huge whirlwind.
Peter calmly leaped up from the ground, landing on the ceiling. He even had the leisure to turn his head to look at the aggressively approaching Toomes and said, "Wow, Mr. Iron Vulture, you're much more intimidating than Mr. Ugly Vulture."
Toomes didn't understand, but it didn't stop him from continuing to attack Peter.
Several launch ports popped out from his wings, and several micro-missiles flew out.
"This could cause the building to collapse. Aren't you afraid of your life's work being destroyed, Mr. Iron Vulture?" Peter pressed his hands together and shot out a large web, enveloping the missiles. With a spin, he sent them flying back towards Toomes.
Toomes was startled by the sudden barrage of missiles. He hadn't expected Peter to be able to accurately intercept and throw back missiles even at high speed.
What kind of reaction speed and strength did that require?
In the midst of his busy maneuvers, he controlled his wings to block them.
CLANG, CLANG, CLANG—
A series of impacts.
The sound of micro-missiles hitting the metal wings.
Immediately after, a series of explosions rang out.
Toomes was blown out of the air by his own micro-missiles.
"Good opportunity!" Peter's eyes lit up, and he prepared to shoot another strand of electric web fluid to stun Vulture.
Just then, his Spider-Sense suddenly vibrated.
His body instinctively lunged to the side.
BOOM!
A huge crater appeared where he had just been.
It was Bryce. He was holding a strangely shaped rifle, its muzzle still glowing red. It was clear that the compressed energy blast had come from him.
Peter performed another series of evasive maneuvers, instantly leaping more than ten meters away.
Behind him, a barrage of bullets swept through.
This time, the attack came from Schultz.
Peter thought for a moment and understood the reason.
It was probably because Mason and the others had opened the door late and hadn't responded. So, Toomes, who already knew he was heading this way, guessed that he might have already entered and captured Mason and the others.
Therefore, Toomes had deployed Schultz and Bryce beforehand, while he himself swaggered in with his high-tech wings, preparing to attack him from both sides.
If it were the Peter of the past, he might have been flustered at this moment.
But the current Peter was a warrior who had experienced several significant battles, and he was also becoming more familiar with the functions of his suit.
If Toomes thought he could defeat him like this, he was underestimating him too much.
Peter's figure turned behind a pillar and suddenly stopped, sticking to the back of the pillar.
Bullets, micro-missiles, energy blasts, and a strange force field weapon – various attacks instantly covered the pillar where Peter was hiding.
Even Peter had to admire them; these guys were truly geniuses.
The previous attacks were one thing, but how could they even create a force field weapon?
However, this did not affect his capture operation.
Peter slid down the pillar to the ground, suddenly putting his hands behind his back and peeking out from the side of the pillar.
WHOOSH, WHOOSH, WHOOSH—
Several web-balls were fired.
These web-balls were particularly elastic. They first hit the ceiling and then bounced off the floor.
After bouncing three or four times, the web-balls suddenly appeared next to Schultz and Bryce, transforming into large webs.
THUD!
THUD!
Two unlucky guys were once again bound by web fluid and fell to the ground.
The sound of gunfire also stopped abruptly.
"Idiot!" Toomes cursed when he saw his two subordinates incapacitated again.
But he didn't dare to come down and rescue them.
Through the thermal imager, he could see that Peter had been staying behind that pillar.
Yet, he had a way to precisely capture his two subordinates.
This made him no longer dare to underestimate this supposedly very young Spider-Man.
"Spider-Boy, you and I have no quarrel, why are you suddenly bothering me?" Toomes suddenly shouted.
He couldn't win in a fight, so he tried to resolve this inexplicable dispute with words.
It was indeed inexplicable.
He still didn't know how he had provoked Spider-Man.
He just felt that this Spider-Man had some issues with his brain, coming to bother him in the middle of the night instead of sleeping.
"I'm saving you, Mr. Toomes," Peter said, "If you continue like this, it won't be me who comes, but special forces. By then, they'll just blast you!"
Toomes's face darkened. He didn't expect Peter to even know his name: "So, I should thank you?"
"Theoretically, yes," Peter said. "Stop, Mr. Toomes, or the outside will be full of agents!"
"Hmph, you're just a brat who understands nothing!" Toomes said coldly. "There are too many rich people who are corrupt in this world! Are we poor people destined to be bullied and oppressed by them? No, never! I established this just to give us a way to live! If you're going to stop me, then I'll kill you!"
Peter sighed, "Don't be foolish, that's just self-consolation. If it were just about making money, with the technology you possess, you could have made other things. But you chose to sell weapons! Do you know how many people your sold weapons will eventually kill? How many innocent citizens will lose their homes and families!"
"Do you have a family? Can you imagine them sleeping at home, and suddenly because gangsters are using your weapons, their home is blasted away by powerful energy weapons, and even their family members die! Can you imagine that, huh?"
Peter became more agitated as he spoke.
He thought of a scene he saw when he merged with Shadow Spider-Man.
In that dark world, something had happened: a dilapidated apartment, crowded with people, suddenly caught fire one night, and a little girl burned to death.
The incident seemed simple, but the story behind it was suffocatingly dark.
