The next day, for some reason, this headline appeared on the front pages of newspapers everywhere.

To be fair, the "Straw Hat" Pirates were not complete unknowns, but they were hardly famous far and wide.

Compared to Kaido and Charlotte Linlin, Monkey D. Luffy, captain of the "Straw Hat" Pirates, was merely worth 300 million berries. His fame did not even match that of the "Disaster Star." What gave him the right to make the front-page headlines?

People around the world were confused. Had the Marines fallen so low now?

"Luffy!"

Crushing the newspaper in his hand into a ball, Portgas D. Ace, leader of the "Whitebeard" Pirates, felt as though a fire were burning in his chest.

What he had feared most had happened. His reckless, impulsive little brother had been thrown into a New World prison.

"Calm down, Ace. You can't lose your composure now."

Marco, first division commander of the "Whitebeard" Pirates, looked grimly at the somewhat awkward-looking Koby and spoke in a low voice.

Before the other man could answer, his tone abruptly shifted, becoming heavy.

"Don't you have any thoughts about this? Luffy is your friend too, isn't he?"

"Me?"

His feelings were no less complicated than Ace's, but Koby still put on a composed front and answered coldly.

"No. I have nothing to say."

Hearing that response, Marco shook his head and gave a sarcastic smile.

"Luffy really is unlucky to have a friend like you."

As soon as he finished speaking, the other members of the "Whitebeard" Pirates unconsciously looked at Koby with a trace of contempt.

"Luffy is a pirate. I am a Marine."

Meeting those disdainful gazes, Koby fell silent for a long while before speaking in a deep voice.
