"My god... these people are all idiots."
Reg silently wailed as he pressed his lips together... he did not want to come back and find this village gone.
"Chief, I have one more request!" Reg said.
"You... we will definitely help you accomplish it!"
No one objected to the chief's words... the surrounding Shandians, young and old alike, were now filled with goodwill and recognition toward Reg. Though their recognition was based on his great strength.
The previous indifference, suspicion, and hostility... had all vanished without a trace.
To the Shandians, someone was either an enemy... or a friend.
It was precisely this that made Reg feel these people were foolish in an endearing way... if they did not believe, they simply did not believe. But once they did, they believed one hundred percent.
"I want to ring the Golden Bell with my own hands... Heaven should be very close from here, right? I believe Ancestor Noland will hear it too, right?" Reg looked up at the sky.
"No problem. We will wait for your return." The chief nodded seriously.
"This is so hard to communicate...!"
Realizing his meaning had been misunderstood again, Reg spoke once more. "Chief... is Birka far from here?"
"Far to the southeast... the warriors will safely escort you there, then safely escort you back!"
The chief looked toward several strong warriors in the crowd. They all struck their chests with their fists, their expressions utterly serious.
"If that's the case, I'd rather go by myself... I'm a warrior too, and I'm no weaker than any of you." Reg gestured at his arms... though they did not have much muscle.
Those words did not draw any ridicule... the defeats of the Gada brothers, along with his easy victory over Wyper, had already made many things clear.
