Kushina Uzumaki went to the Ninja Hospital after Kakashi found her dry heaving and learned that she was pregnant. Kakashi brought Orochimaru to Chiyu's home to examine her more thoroughly.

• Chiyu created a Shadow Clone to fight Kakuzu and Kisame Hoshigaki, then activated Lightning Release Chakra Mode and raced toward the Nine-Tails.

Minato Namikaze defeated Obito Uchiha’s control of the Nine-Tails with the Contract Seal, then transported the beast away from Konoha. With his Chakra nearly exhausted, he relied on Miyuki Uzumaki to bind the Nine-Tails as they prepared to contain it.
