Demon Venerable's Soul Fragment!

Space began to tremble as waves of fire swept across the heavens. Bai Yu warily watched everything around him. As the surrounding scenery continuously melted away, an illusory grand hall slowly emerged.

Bai Yu stood tall within the hall. The silent surroundings were saturated with a stifling pressure that made one feel suffocated, while atop the enormous bronze throne sat a skeleton clad in black robes.

As the hall completely took shape, gray aura swept through the surroundings. Golden flames ignited within the skeleton's hollow eye sockets, and the grinding of its bones made Bai Yu's expression turn grave to the extreme.

Though he was unsure who this skeletal corpse was, the pressure it radiated had already surpassed his control. Even though he sensed no killing intent, the feeling of being controlled made Bai Yu deeply uncomfortable.

The golden flames flickered ceaselessly. Then, the skeletal corpse slowly spread its arms and lazily stretched before lowering its head slightly, instantly locking onto Bai Yu.

"I've waited so damn long—at last, someone fated has come!"

The skeletal corpse slowly rose. Flames continuously swelled and shrank within its hollow eyes, while its hoarse voice echoed throughout the hall.

The skeleton's thin body rose from the throne and, amid the scrape of bones, slowly walked down. Before long, it arrived in front of Bai Yu.

"May I ask who Senior is?"

Bai Yu paused, then asked respectfully.

From the looks of it, this skeleton should be the guardian here. But he had only passed five trials of the Black Tower; he should not have come here directly.

"Hehe, you cultivate my inheritance, yet you still don't know who I am?"

The skeleton grinned and pointed at itself, its tone full of teasing.

Bai Yu's pupils contracted at those words.
