After the first star system colonized by Amoeba fell, it was not long before the second and third followed... The Coordination Council's offensive was unstoppable, crushing everything in its path, just as Amoeba had once done when attacking the Inari Huang Empire.
However, the Collectors were not the Inari Huang Empire. Their experience in warfare and strategy was exceptionally rich, and in an extremely short time, they grasped the enemy's movements and used an "infiltration strategy" to firmly maintain the overall front line.
As the name implied, an infiltration strategy achieved strategic objectives through infiltration.
In terms of combat capability, the Coordination Council's combat units were stronger than the Collectors, so much so that they could be said to utterly overwhelm them. But that did not mean the Collectors had no means of counterbalancing them.
Countless small cosmic organisms infiltrated the star systems on the Inari Huang Empire's side. Once they found suitable systems, they began establishing themselves and breeding large numbers of mothership organisms to wreak havoc within the empire's territory, causing the sovereignty of those star systems to pass into Amoeba's hands.
Whenever the Coordination Council gradually advanced and compressed the Collectors' front line, they would discover in astonishment that large numbers of enemy positions and enemies had somehow appeared behind them. They often found themselves attacked from both front and rear. While this could not inflict major losses on the Coordination Council, it was indeed highly effective at slowing their strategic advance.
Because of this strategy, the war entered a stalemate where you were within me, and I was within you.
The Collectors did not care about gains and losses in any single city or territory. Defeat in a campaign did not necessarily determine defeat in a war. Since they could not contend with the Coordination Council
