The meeting room fell utterly silent. Though Dersen spoke respectfully, he did not seem at all weaker in presence than the commander-in-chief of his own legion. The commander-in-chief of the Assassination Legion looked at Dersen with a subtle change in his expression. He had realized that Dersen's audacity in defying him meant he had something substantial to rely on.
