The Collectors decided to utterly defeat the Coordination Council—even destroy it. This was a rare decision, because no matter how useless trash was, it still had something worth exploiting. Anything that could be exploited and generate value was worth preserving for the species. The planets discovered during interstellar colonization that possessed complex ecosystems but no civilization had not been dismantled for precisely this reason.

Under normal circumstances, the Collectors would not make such a choice.

But regarding the Coordination Council, the Collectors unanimously approved the proposal to destroy it. The reason was the contemptuous attitude toward Amoeba displayed by the supreme class within the Door World.

That contempt showed that the combat power the Collectors had demonstrated in their successive wars against the Holy Worm Empire, the Inari Radiant Empire, and the Coordination Council was still insufficient to earn their respect. They needed an undeniable display of strength to make every nation and faction in the Door World understand Amoeba's power.
