The general course of the war was that the Insectoid Swarm obtained a stargate from the Spirit Venerable, used it to attack a planet of the Holy Womb State, and then devoured every living thing on the planet, leaving not even the plants behind.

Naturally, the Holy Womb State was enraged by this. Its fleets then chased down the Insectoid Swarm and beat it so badly that it could not fight back at all.

At the time, the Insectoid Swarm was nowhere near as skilled as the Holy Womb State's fleets in using the spirit domain. It had never even fought a space battle before.

Its enemy, the Holy Womb State, possessed vast starfields and an enormous population. It also had fleets capable of teleporting within stellar systems, as well as huge numbers of mechs wielding lightswords whose cutting power far surpassed Monomolecular Blades.

The Holy Womb State recaptured the stargate the Insectoid Swarm had obtained from the Spirit Venerable and occupied Tyr, the Insectoid Swarm's homeworld. The Insectoid Swarm could only wander through the state's territory, barely surviving through guerrilla warfare.

The threat of extinction forced the Insectoid Swarm to grow rapidly. Everywhere it went, it plundered all biomass and devoted itself to breeding and expanding its biological hordes.
