Enkore felt as though his mind was clouded. His vision, hearing, even touch—every sensory organ had become extremely blurred, as if he were drunk.
The change puzzled Enkore. He was a Great God; getting drunk was simply not something that could happen to him. He had only heard of such abnormalities occurring among mortal creatures in certain worlds.
Enkore did not know that perhaps nothing capable of intoxicating him had existed before, but now it did.
At the end of the day, Enkore was still a living creature, and the Successors could devise a special compound tailored to his physiology.
Under the effects of this chemical substance specially formulated by the Successors, Enkore's brain could no longer properly process the biological information coming from his body. He felt only a dizzy, floating euphoria that muddled both body and mind.
Through the haze, Enkore seemed to hear some voices.
"How's the Ripple Megastructure?"
"Operating normally."
"Run a few more. This captive looks quite a bit sturdier than the last one. The difficulty of disrupting his spiritual domain might be higher."
"...I don't recall physical size enhancing the use of a spiritual domain?"
"This is called 'being prepared,' understand? This is called 'better safe than sorry,' understand? Those are supreme truths spoken by Will. Go make the arrangements already."
"Oh..."
He could not understand the language, but Enkore could tell they were speaking, and there was a good chance they were talking about him.
A powerful drowsiness swept over him. Enkore's brain could no longer endure it, and he fell completely asleep.
Who knew how long passed before Enkore finally awoke, refreshed once more.
Enkore quickly noticed that he had been imprisoned on a metal platform. Metal rings bound his limbs in place, leaving him unable to move.
Enkore tried to use
