The technological level of the planet's native intelligent species was backward. Although they could fly and had transportation superior to that of ancient humans on Earth, they could not compare to humans after the development of aircraft.
Flesh was still flesh. Flying for too long would eventually cause fatigue, while machines never grew tired.
Even with the successors' covert operations after parasitizing native organisms, parasitizing the entire planet still took them several years.
During that time, the most difficult stage was undoubtedly parasitizing and controlling the World Lord who ruled the planet.
The Melo race had only a single eyeball, which also served as its brain. They did not need to eat. Due to their excessive dependence on the Spirit Domain, even their food supply and life-sustaining activities were accomplished through the Spirit Domain.
The successors' usual method of parasitizing through ingestion had been blocked.
Fortunately, the Spirit Domain had not stripped this World Lord of a physical body. Using the natural wind, the successors allowed microscopic individuals to ride the breeze toward the target, eventually making direct contact with it.
After physical contact, all that remained was invasive parasitism.
"Global parasitization complete."
The intelligence gathered by individuals was transmitted and compiled through the life field.
The Melo race and their vassal species on the planet, limited by their own backward technological level, were utterly incapable of detecting the life-field network used by the successors.
Within the network, all kinds of information flowed continuously. Among this vast amount of secret intelligence, the most abundant concerned the World Lord.
"According to the collected intelligence, this is a fringe planet of the Melo race. The World Lord of this planet was originally an exceptionally gifted member of the Melo race, but for some unknown reason, his ability to use the Spirit Domain
