Across a barren desert, a sandstorm that blotted out the sky raged without end.
A traveler trudged through the storm with immense difficulty, stumbling and swaying with every step.
Within the howling sand, indistinct whispers seemed to harmonize.

The farther the traveler went, the more violent the storm became, and the stranger sounds grew ever clearer.
Until the traveler could no longer resist the raging wind and sand through physical strength alone and had no choice but to stop. Looking up, the traveler saw the shadow of a city vaguely emerging amid the storm.
As if it sensed the traveler's gaze, the wind and sand became even fiercer, slicing bloody gashes across the traveler's skin like blades.
The roaring grew clearer alongside the storm. Something invisible was approaching. Terror-stricken, the traveler kept backing away, as though trying to flee.

Scott jolted awake from his nightmare. Exhausted, he looked around frantically. Only after confirming that he was in his own bedroom rather than some nameless desert did he finally calm down.

Fear had drained his skin pale. Only after a long while did it return to its usual bluish-purple hue.
Scott was a detective. During one job for a client, he had come into contact with things he should never have touched. Since then, nightmares had plagued him—always the same dream.
A wasteland of yellow sand, a sandstorm sweeping across the sky, a city, and whispers from nowhere...

Scott washed his face. Looking at his haggard reflection in the mirror, he resolved to settle things with his nightmare once and
