Extra 1: System's Crystal Pendant

Dust-covered history was always forgotten, and the myths of legend were no exception.

Legend had it that System possessed countless ever-changing forms, and no one knew which one was his true appearance.

Yet no matter which portrait of System it was, he always wore a crystal pendant the size of an infant's fist.

Some said it contained the origin of a world.

Some said it was a supreme divine artifact.

Some said the pendant held the power to destroy the world.

Others said that a god from another world was sealed within it.

In the Heavenly Domain World, a man who always enjoyed honing his spear techniques had just slain a Hero-class demon with Spiral Thrust when he suddenly spotted a crystal pendant the size of an infant's fist lying on the ground.

Slung his wooden spear across his back, he carefully examined the crystal pendant in his hand. There seemed to be two golden discs inside it, though he had no idea what they were.

He decisively used Appraisal, and the pendant's information appeared.

The man carefully stroked the wooden spear on his back. He had always been Lucky E—how could he suddenly obtain a Mythical item?

As he puzzled over it, a faint ripple appeared in the void, and a figure clad in gray-black robes emerged from empty space.

By the time the man came back to his senses, the pendant in his hand had already ended up in the other person's grasp.

The man holding the wooden spear frowned slightly.

Lucky E. Sure enough, Lucky E!

But why was it so damn irritating?

He drew the wooden spear from his back, and a layer of white battle qi erupted from his body!!

The spear in his hands seemed to turn into a rapidly spinning drill, while the white battle qi around his body surged like smoke into the drill at its tip.

Spiral Thrust!

In an instant, the man unleashed his signature skill—the first skill he had ever learned—

White flames brimming with destructive power accompanied the charge of his body and spear as he flashed more than ten meters forward. A trench thirty centimeters deep was gouged into the earth, and a tree blocking his path was ground to dust...

Yet such an attack failed to harm the black-robed figure in the slightest. That figure seemed not to exist at all; the charge passed straight through him without affecting him one bit.

The man leaped into the air, swelling the battle qi around his body as he repeatedly thrust and swept his wooden spear at the other's body.

But the figure was like a phantom, merely inspecting the pendant in his hand and paying him no heed...

Looking at the information shown by Appraisal, the man spoke in an exceedingly resentful voice.

System and System's Crystal Pendant—the information from Appraisal undoubtedly showed that this mysterious person was the pendant's owner.

"Yes, it's mine."

The black-robed figure finally offered some response. His voice was ever-shifting, seeming to come from his mouth yet also to echo from all directions.

"What are those golden discs inside the pendant?" the spear-wielding man asked.

The figure in gray-black robes visibly froze, revealing an expression of deep nostalgia.

After a while, the figure answered, "Eyes."

"Eyes? What eyes?"

The spear-wielding man looked bewildered. He looked ahead, only to discover that the gray-robed figure had already vanished.

Only a voice still slowly echoed all around him—

"The world is so vast. Take her to see it."
