More than ten minutes later, System successfully crawled out of the snow using his tentacles.

As far as the eye could see, everything around him was a vast expanse of white. The snow had stopped, but the entire world was blanketed in ice and snow.

The branches overhead creaked under the weight of ice and snow and the assault of the cold wind. Seeing this, System used his tentacles to move his body to a safer area, lest a branch snap beneath the snow and crush him.

As he moved, System, having crawled out of the snow, finally got a clear look at what he now looked like.

His body appeared extremely disproportionate due to his shrunken abdomen, only about seventeen centimeters long. The exoskeleton and wings that had covered the upper part of his body had completely vanished, leaving him bare. His antennae seemed to have grown back, but they were only half their original length and extremely fragile.

His shattered right eye had grown back as well. System could sense a blurry glimmer from that side; after some time, his blinded eye would probably regenerate completely.

The strangest thing about his body was the dozen-plus tentacles that had grown from where his original legs had been.

He now looked incomparably ugly. If he did not say so himself, no one would believe he was a grasshopper. In fact, even if he said it, people would still find it hard to believe.

System felt the cold wind sweeping through the forest for a while. The temperature above the ground was somewhat lower than within the snow, but it did not have much effect on his current body.
