"Wouldn't it work even with these two cards added?" Seeing Xingjue Zi's expression, Trist rested a hand on his chin and struck a thoughtful, dashing pose.

Xingjue Zi shook his head. Though he wanted to return to the cultivation world and take a look right away, there was no use in going back now. Due to the Heavenly Secrets Sect's cultivation techniques, Xingjue Zi knew that both his master and junior brothers were still alive.

And Johnny would need about another day before he revived again.

He did not dwell on it further.

Entrusted by another, he would be faithful to the task. Xingjue Zi decided to first give Trist an explanation.

After pondering for a moment, Xingjue Zi said, "Qian is Heaven, Kun is Earth, Xun is Wind, Zhen is Thunder, Kan is Water, Li is Fire, Gen is Mountain, and Dui is Marsh. These four sets of cards should be placed in the four directions and regarded as the Four Symbols. As for these two Jokers, they may represent Yin and Yang, or be called Taiji. Taiji gives rise to the Two Principles, and the Four Symbols give rise to the Eight Trigrams."

After his explanation, Xingjue Zi quickly began arranging them. After several failures, he finally laid out the playing cards into a strange formation in an open patch of ground.

"Why do I suddenly have a strange feeling?" Trist said as he watched Xingjue Zi construct four tiny houses out of cards.

Before long, a special pale golden power surged from Trist's body. His tailcoat changed slightly, becoming adorned with strange patterns. He no longer gave off a gentle, refined air, but a far stronger sense of mystery.

Trist's appearance had changed as well, switching from the Elegant Yet Awkward skin to the Twisted Fate skin.
