In the footage Xiao Dui shared, he and the old lich emerged from a gloomy underground structure and appeared on the outskirts of a city crowded with steel buildings.

The city seemed to be filled with all manner of large factories, along with some buildings of unknown purpose that appeared to be residential areas, inhabited by humans.

Its technological level could not be called low. The instant Xiao Dui looked up, System noticed an enormous object in the murky gray sky above and to one side—a floating structure similar to the Golden Banana Federation's Floating Islands. It covered roughly two thousand meters in an irregular oval shape and hovered about three thousand meters above the ground.

Faint lights flickered atop the floating island.

However, because of the world's heavy smog, the light emitted by the floating island was extremely blurred.

Xiao Dui, the other slimes, and the old lich appeared to be standing at the edge of a resource recycling center—a garbage dump.

All kinds of trash were mixed together here, forming a mountain of refuse that stretched for several thousand meters. Countless thumbnail-sized flies buzzed through the air, while rats foraged below.

Clearly, even in such a vile environment, some creatures could still thrive like fish in water.

In the Golden Banana Federation, this sort of garbage would usually be dealt with by System's various slime friends.

Slimes fitted with [Intelligent Cores] worked extremely efficiently. Trash such as spoiled food would be directly drowned beneath countless slimes and absorbed as nutrients, while the remaining refuse, purified by the slimes, would have its stench and most of its germs eliminated, becoming recyclable resources safe for use.

Even the sewage in cities had been purified thanks to the emergence of aquatic slimes.

According to some Federation experts, while purifying water resources,
