Background / History

Johnny was one of the Heroic Spirits residing in Winter Wonderland. Impatient with the others' card games and convinced that the unusual gathering of Heroic Spirits indicated a Hall of Heroes in Lierte Forest, he traveled there with the rose flower spirit Duoduo to investigate personally. His encounter with assassins escalated into combat; he killed one gray-robed assassin before a terrifying warning forced both sides to withdraw. 325 326

After arriving at the Pay-to-Win Skyscraper, Johnny became entangled with System. He initially searched System's office in distress over a missing person and admitted that he had killed an assassin from the Hunting God Church. 329 He later borrowed 570,000 Pay-to-Win Points to create an exclusive card, then appointed himself System's guard at a self-declared daily wage. 338

Johnny's debts rapidly became part of his public identity. Within three months, he owed over twenty-five million points to System and numerous other creditors, while his card rose from Black Iron to Gold. 349 Although System repeatedly suspected his motives, Johnny mourned System when he believed him dead, helped clean the office afterward, and came to consider him a friend. 344
