"The unknown young man launched another fierce assault. Cell was at a disadvantage now, and the arena was blanketed in thick smoke. I wonder if the cameras have managed to convey the true atmosphere of the scene to everyone," the host narrated. Unfortunately, the cameraman was filming nothing but that cloud of smoke, so the audience could not see a thing.
Meanwhile, after being bombarded by Son Goku for quite a while, Cell finally could not endure any longer and activated his barrier. It continued expanding, forming a huge transparent purple sphere. Son Goku stopped attacking and panted heavily as he stared at the barrier right in front of him.
Cell panted lightly as he looked at Son Goku outside the barrier. "If you want to eat a Senzu Bean, go right ahead. Then the two of us can have another wonderful fight."
"G-Great idea. Just like Cell said, give Son Goku a Senzu Bean. Then he can defeat Cell," Trunks suggested.
Yamcha, beside him, agreed. "Yeah, let's do that."
Yet Krillin did not move. He knew Son Goku would never do such a thing. Seeing that Krillin had not acted, Trunks called out to him again, only to realize that none of the others had voiced an opinion. When he looked at them, they were all silently watching the battlefield.
"Krillin, hurry up and give him a Senzu Bean," Trunks urged again.
Vegeta turned his head at that moment. "Shut up, Trunks! You're a Saiyan child, yet you have no Saiyan pride at all. Kakarot and I would rather die than win through such dishonorable means."
"Right now, he isn't fighting Cell for the sake of Earth at all. You'd better remember that."
Trunks still did not fully understand, but after hesitating, he said, "But if this keeps going..."
