Chen He ignored Bulma's scream. He merely stared coldly at the giant monster that was still smoking.
A transformation technique of this level was no different from a circus trick in his eyes. Its energy was a complete mess; aside from its larger size, he could not sense the slightest threat from it.
"No need to make such a fuss." Chen He dropped the remark coldly and brushed away Bulma's hand, which had been clamped tightly around his waist in fear.
He took two steps forward, crossed his arms over his chest, and stood ramrod straight. The pride ingrained in a Saiyan's bones somehow caused even the villagers' screams to quiet down.
"Hey! Brat! Who are you?" The giant monster roared like thunder. A palm as large as a millstone came crashing down at Chen He with a fierce gust of wind. "How dare you stand in my way? I'll stomp you into a meat patty!"
"Chen He, get out of the way!" Goku shouted, already poised to rush in.
The instant that enormous palm descended, Chen He's body swayed slightly, avoiding the frontal blow. His right hand shot out like lightning, fingers pressed together.
Bang!
The monster's attack struck empty air. Chen He leaped up and casually delivered a side kick, sweeping precisely across the monster's thick ankle.
Rumble...!
That seemingly weightless kick directly caused the massive creature, as tall as a two-story building, to lose its balance. It crashed headfirst into the muddy ground in utter embarrassment, kicking up a skyful of dust.
Having faced reality, the monster had intended to transform into a bat and fly away. But just as three minutes ran out, there was a poof, and a cloud of white smoke dispersed.
"Ow ow ow... That hurts like hell! Where did this barbarian come from?!"
The entire scene fell deathly silent.
[Ding! Defeated Oolong and successfully altered a plot point. Reward points: +300!]
Chen He glanced at the panel. His points had already reached 450.
Tch, I can't even afford Afterimage Fist. Chen He cursed inwardly, while his expression remained as cold and hard as iron.
The villagers gaped. Bulma rubbed her eyes and stared blankly at the little pig on the ground, which was not even as tall as her knee. "That's it? Bodyguard... you knocked it back into its original form?"
Chen He walked over expressionlessly and looked down at the rolling Oolong from above.
"This is his true form."
Chen He bent down, grabbed Oolong by the ear as if lifting a trash bag, and yanked him out of the pit. Then he casually tossed him before Bulma.
Oolong was in so much pain that snot and tears covered his face. When he met Chen He's eyes, cold as ice, he shrank his neck and did not even dare cry loudly.
"Spare me! Spare me, hero! I'm just a passing transformation technique enthusiast..."
Chen He ignored his excuses. He could not even be bothered to expose this perverted pig's true nature. Instead, he turned to look at Goku, who was curiously poking and prodding Oolong.
"Oh! Amazing! So he transformed into that!" Goku grabbed Oolong by the tail and lifted him up, his eyes full of curiosity.
To thank them for their help, the villagers brought out the Six-Star Ball from the village and gave it to them...
Chen He returned to the back seat of the motorcycle, clasped his hands behind his head, and resumed his aloof demeanor.
"Chen He, that kick just now was so fast! I didn't even see how you did it! Can you teach me?"
"You're still too weak."
He closed his eyes, as though he had merely swatted a fly to death.
"Drive."
Bulma looked at the bodyguard, who was as cold as a chunk of iron. She had wanted to complain a little, but recalling the power of Chen He's kick, she shrank back and could only mutter softly, "Why are you acting so cool..." Then she obediently started the engine.
Partway through the journey, the three people and one pig stopped by the seaside to rest.
Chen He leaned beneath a large tree with his eyes closed, pondering what would happen next.
"Hey-ha! Hey-ha!"
Goku was practicing nearby with impressive form. Recalling the angle of Chen He's kick, he delivered a fierce side kick at a reef as tall as a person.
Bang!
Stone fragments scattered, and a corner of the reef was kicked off.
"So hard!" As Goku shook his foot, he suddenly noticed something round and shiny behind the stone fragments he had kicked away.
"Huh? Is this a rock?" Goku poked it curiously, and the thing actually stretched out its head.
"It's a turtle!" Bulma leaned over and cried out.
This unlucky old turtle had nearly died of thirst on the beach. Given Goku's personality, he naturally picked up a bucket of water without a word and began helping it.
Chen He opened his eyes and watched the scene calmly. He knew that the real "beginner village gift pack" was about to arrive.
Not long after they finished helping the turtle...
An old man riding atop a giant turtle drifted over from the sea.
Bald, wearing sunglasses and a floral shirt, with an enormous turtle shell on his back—he looked thoroughly unserious.
"Who saved my beloved turtle?" Master Roshi jumped down from the turtle shell and struck what he thought was a cool pose.
Chen He stood up. His gaze lingered for half a second on the Three-Star Dragon Ball hanging around Master Roshi's neck before moving away.
"139." That was the power level he assessed for the old man in his mind. He had now reached a power level of 212. Defeating Master Roshi might not be difficult at all!
"Grandpa, we saved it!" Goku waved excitedly.
To show his gratitude, Master Roshi had originally wanted to give Goku an immortal phoenix, only to discover that the bird had died of food poisoning. Awkwardly, he let out a sharp whistle.
A golden cloud drifted down from the sky.
"This is the Flying Nimbus. Only those with pure hearts can ride it." Master Roshi stroked his beard.
As Goku happily flew through the air, Bulma kept staring at the Dragon Ball on Master Roshi's chest, practically drooling. "Old man, how about giving me that bead on your chest too?"
Master Roshi's old face flushed red. He adjusted his sunglasses, his gaze sweeping over Bulma in an extremely lecherous manner.
"Hehehe, you want the Dragon Ball? That's not impossible... as long as you let me have a little feel..."
"In your dreams!" Before Bulma could scream, Chen He had already stepped coldly between them.
Chen He stood in front of Bulma, fixing Master Roshi with an icy stare. "Old man, don't make disgusting demands like that."
Master Roshi froze for a moment. He could feel an immense pressure coming from the youth before him, enough to make even a martial arts master like himself feel faintly alarmed.
"Young people these days sure have tempers." Master Roshi chuckled awkwardly and dropped his lecherous expression.
Chen He ignored him and glanced back at Bulma. "I have a way to deal with the Dragon Ball. Stop wasting words on this old man. Let's go."
With that, Chen He climbed straight onto the motorcycle and called out to Goku, who was still fooling around in the sky. "Goku, keep up. It's time to head to Fire Mountain."
Since they had not gotten the Dragon Ball, Chen He could not be bothered to keep acting. He knew that, in the coming story, that ball would fall into his hands sooner or later.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Bulma jumped onto the bike in a huff, not forgetting to turn back and flip Master Roshi the middle finger.
Chen He folded his arms, closed his eyes, and leaned back against the seat.
"Fire Mountain... Ox-King, huh."
He clenched his fist, his knuckles cracking. A flicker of battle intent unique to Saiyans flashed through his eyes.
