Would you like to enhance [Fox Immortal Treasure Pearl] first?
Su Li held the card and sensed it.
He had never enhanced equipment-type cards before. In the past, it had been due to a lack of resources, but now it was something he could consider.
Like enhancing magic-type cards, it required fusing either two cards of the same type at the same rank or higher, or three cards of different types at the same rank or higher.
He took stock of his cards. He still had five Bronze Rank 7 [Face Willow King] cards, one [Blood Thorn], and the three cards Wang Shiyu had given as compensation.
The three cards Wang Shiyu had offered as compensation were only slightly more valuable than [Face Willow King]. That bastard had made a great show of saving face, but the cards he gave were all trash.
Equipment-type cards were precious. If Su Li sold [Face Willow King] to buy Bronze Rank 7 equipment-type cards, even three of them would not be enough to trade for two.
So, fusing them directly was more worthwhile.
Without another word, Su Li began enhancing [Fox Immortal Treasure Pearl].
In the end, Su Li used three Bronze Rank 7 [Face Willow King] cards and obtained a brand-new Bronze Rank 8 [Fox Immortal Treasure Pearl] card.
Mysterious energy fed back into him, though only a little. It left him stuck at the critical point of 59, just one step away from breaking through Bronze Rank 7.
He immediately began meditating. A day later, the silver coverage of his Spiritual Jade reached sixty percent, and he successfully broke through Bronze Rank 7!
His strength soared once more. Each time he crossed a minor threshold, the strength of his Spiritual Jade underwent a transformation.
Su Li opened Little White Fox's card world.
He stepped inside and arrived at a mountain ravine.
The air here was fresh, birds sang, and flowers bloomed, giving him an exceptionally relaxing feeling.
As Little White Fox's world evolved, it had claimed a mountain as its territory, living on one of its peaks while training itself to improve its strength.
He gazed into the distance.
The sun had just risen, and the morning light spilled down upon a beautiful scene.
A flash of snowy white suddenly appeared. It was a beautiful white fox, treading on the breeze as it danced through the mountain ravine.
The sight was breathtakingly beautiful, and Su Li watched quietly.
"Su Li, you're back!"
Su Xiaobai's childish voice appeared in Su Li's mind.
The White Fox ran over at once, its body shrinking as it transformed back into Little White Fox and crashed headfirst into Su Li's arms.
The little fox wriggled in his embrace, utterly affectionate. It missed this human; his arms held that original warmth, calming its heart.
"Little White." Su Li's tone was gentle as he stroked the little fox's head.
"Su Li, I missed you so much." Little White Fox was innocent and straightforward, voicing its feelings without restraint. Its pair of snowy white ears twitched brightly, making it look utterly adorable.
Su Li fell silent for a moment. He could not bring Little White Fox back to the real world. Leaving was unavoidable.
"Me too." Su Li ran his hand down Little White Fox's fur. It was incredibly soft and smooth.
"Su Li, you're back. I'm so happy, heeheehee!"
Little White Fox suddenly broke free from Su Li's arms. It leaped onto the ground and shapeshifted, its body rapidly growing until it became a ten-meter giant beast.
It lowered its head, picked Su Li up in its mouth, and tossed him onto its back.
Then Su Xiaobai rode the wind like a snowy-white spirit, carrying Su Li as it bounded through the mountain ravine.
"Su Li, this mountain spring is so sweet. Hurry and try it."
"Alright, alright."
"Su Li, there's a big gray bear lying over there. It looks fierce, but it's actually very kind. It saved me once."
"Su Li, the fruit in this forest is delicious, but Auntie Monkey is very fierce. We have to be careful when we steal some."
"Su Li."
Little White Fox was too happy. It kept telling Su Li about everything it had experienced after he left.
Su Li listened quietly with a smile. At that moment, he felt completely at ease, and the urgency he felt in the real world faded away.
Until the sun set.
The lingering sunset cast crimson afterglow over a mountain peak.
Su Li and Little White Fox sat atop the peak. The White Fox had turned back into a little fox and was curled up in his arms.
"Little White, I brought you a gift this time." Su Li smiled.
"Su Li, I like anything you give me." The little fox poked its head out from his arms, its two large snowy-white ears twitching.
Su Li activated the [Fox Immortal Treasure Pearl] card. A crystal-clear pearl, smooth as jade, fell into his palm.
The pearl was translucent white, trailing faint white mist and exuding a mysterious aura.
Little White Fox stared curiously at the Fox Immortal Treasure Pearl with its bright, clear eyes. It gave off a familiar, intimate presence.
As if it sensed Little White Fox's presence, the Fox Immortal Treasure Pearl was drawn to it and flew out of Su Li's hand.
Ethereal white mist drifted down as the pearl settled beneath Little White Fox's neck, held there by an invisible force.
"Whoa!" The little white fox cried out in surprise. "Su Li, I can feel my power getting so much stronger."
Su Xiaobai's eyes suddenly sharpened as it activated the ability bestowed upon it by the Fox Immortal Treasure Pearl.
Tornado Blade Frenzy.
A fierce storm rose below the mountaintop. The gale transformed into blades, forming a tornado that blotted out the sky and swept through the area.
Made up of countless Wind Blades, the razor-sharp currents sliced through everything in the area, grinding it all into fragments.
The little white fox's control over wind energy had become far more precise. Its original Wind Step could only increase its speed, but now it broke free from Su Li's arms and flew by stepping on Wind Blades.
"Stupid fox, don't blow wind over here!" A creature in the peach grove suddenly roared, speaking in human words.
"Monkey Auntie!" The little white fox jumped in fright and hurriedly dispersed Tornado Blade Frenzy. It stuck out its tongue and flew back to the mountaintop.
"Su Li, you're so good to me. I love this gift so much!" The little white fox affectionately leaped into Su Li's arms, the fox pearl beneath its neck shining brilliantly.
The two watched until the sun set and the bright moon rose.
The atmosphere gradually grew heavy.
The little white fox sent a telepathic message: "Su Li, you came back this time to help me, right?"
"Yes." Su Li nodded.
"Not for a single moment have I forgotten how tragically my parents died. Su Li, it's fortunate that I have you." The little white fox choked back sobs.
"Alright, we'll go take revenge." Su Li comforted it.
"No, the Mantis Tyrant is too powerful. Even though I've grown stronger, I'm still far from enough." The little white fox looked dejected.
"How strong is it?" Su Li asked.
"Far, far stronger than my parents. We could only flee one-sidedly—it was more like it was toying with us." The little white fox gritted its teeth.
Su Li frowned. The fox father and fox mother had to be at least Bronze Rank Eight or Nine.
If the Mantis Tyrant was only Bronze Rank Ten, then during this trip into the Card World, Su Li could directly complete several of the little white fox's enhancement choices.
But judging from the little white fox's tone, could the Mantis Tyrant have reached the Silver Rank?
Troublesome.
"Let's go to Skywind Cliff first. If you complete your coming-of-age ceremony, your strength will become even greater."
