Now that Blade Tusk had begun entertaining thoughts of conquest beyond the tribe, he needed to figure out exactly what state the tribe was currently in.

He found the records submitted by the Statistics Committee. After carefully going through them, he finally gained a clearer, more intuitive understanding of the tribe's present situation.

Compared to when he was young, the tribe's total population had grown by nearly half over the past few years. Including 125 full-time combat troops, 43 witch doctor apprentices, and 9 witch doctors, it had reached 2,270 people in total, split evenly between men and women.

More than half of them were growing Trolls whom the tribe had managed to raise only after supplies became plentiful in recent years.

Among them were 350 subadult Trolls, aged sixteen to nineteen. They had basically begun taking part in hunts and could barely be considered complete laborers.

There were also 600 young and teenage Trolls, aged four to fifteen. Their main duty was still learning, and they ordinarily only handled auxiliary tasks such as gathering and processing prey.

There were another 200 infant Trolls, aged zero to three.

Prime-age Trolls, meanwhile, occupied roughly 240 years of the lifespan, so their numbers had accumulated to the greatest extent, reaching 820. They formed the backbone of groups such as hunters and warriors.

In addition, the tribe had 140 elderly Trolls.

Of them, 250 still retained some ability to work, with roughly thirty to fifty years of life remaining. They could handle less strenuous productive work and, together with the young and teenage Trolls, took on tasks such as gathering.
