The night before the Heaven Dou Empire's contestants departed for Spirit City, Grandmaster was writing a letter. Because of Little San's Twin Martial Souls, he had to meet Bibi Dong once. To prevent any misunderstandings, he needed to leave Liu Erlong a letter.
Knock, knock, knock! Someone knocked on the door.
"Who would come looking for me at this hour?"
"Come in," said Grandmaster.
"Grandmaster, pardon the disturbance." The person who pushed open the door was unexpectedly Mo Lin.
Grandmaster immediately rose to his feet. Mo Lin's arrival was completely beyond his expectations.
"Elder Yu Mo, what brings you here? Please, have a seat."
As he spoke, Grandmaster pulled out a chair.
"No need, Grandmaster. I'm only here to deliver something and pass along a few words."
Mo Lin took out a letter.
"This is a letter the Clan Leader wrote for you."
"A letter... from Father?" Grandmaster's eyes filled with disbelief. Even his hands trembled as he accepted the letter, nearly dropping it to the floor.
Grandmaster saw that the envelope bore both the Clan Leader's and the elders' seals. A possibility arose in his mind. He looked at Mo Lin, who merely smiled and nodded.
Grandmaster opened the envelope, unfolded the letter within, and began to read.
Grandmaster's expression was tense at first, but gradually relaxed as time passed. The corners of his lips even curled upward. This was likely the first time in many years that Grandmaster had wanted to smile so badly.
When he read the revised "words from Father" that Yu Yuanzhen had written under Mo Lin's pressure, two streams of tears fell from Grandmaster's eyes, yet his smile only grew wider.
As the writing advisor, Mo Lin naturally knew why. Yu Yuanzhen's ability to express emotion in writing could only be described as clumsy.
