Deep in the vast sea of stars, a dense asteroid belt resembled a dead-gray wall of isolation.
At the center of the turbulent currents hung a metal fortress as large as a small satellite.
As the choke point guarding the outskirts of the Northern Milky Way, the Seventh Outpost was permanently garrisoned by thirty thousand elite Galactic Patrol officers. A blue light barrier stretched around the fortress, strong enough to withstand an asteroid storm head-on.
Inside the command center, Commander Zar had just picked up a cup of hot coffee.
A piercing crimson alarm suddenly tore through the command room's silence. Every radar display flashed blood-red, their blinking warning symbols painfully harsh on the eyes.
"An asteroid turbulence?!" Zar slammed his coffee cup onto the console and roared.
"Not asteroids! The radar has locked onto an ultra-massive entity! It's charging straight at us at an utterly unreasonable speed!" The operator shouted himself hoarse in terror.
"It's a spacecraft! At that size, it's practically a star-devouring beast! It's coming right at us!"
The image on the main screen shook violently before finally stabilizing on the distant scene.
A colossal dark-purple, cross-shaped mothership trailed savage flames from its exhaust, showing no sign of slowing as it bore down on the outpost.
"That warship's paint job? It's a Frost Demon royal flagship!" Zar's pupils contracted sharply.
Frieza was clearly dead! How did the remnants of the Frost Demons dare come here and cause trouble?!
"Commander! We've detected an ultra-high energy signature!" Another monitor officer screamed in despair, staring fixedly at the detector in front of him as black smoke poured from it.
"This high-energy reaction isn't the main cannon charging at all. It's coming from a living creature inside the ship!"
"Bullshit! What kind of creature could overload a planetary detector?!"
"The detector
