The Mighty Vegeta

Everyone was stunned by Vegeta's words.

Vegeta clenched his fists excitedly. "I'm trembling with excitement—because the moment I defeat Kakarot with my own hands and reclaim my status as the Saiyan Prince has finally come."

Android 20 cut him off bluntly. "Dream all you want. Even if your body has changed to some extent, you can't possibly defeat us androids. You'll end up just like Goku did earlier."

As soon as he finished speaking, a red flash lit up in Android 19's eyes, and two beams shot out—only to suddenly curve just before hitting Vegeta, burrowing into the ground and exploding in a cloud of dust.

Using the dust to obscure his vision, Android 19 burrowed underground and launched a surprise attack from behind Vegeta. Two beams struck Vegeta directly, and the smoke from the explosion swallowed his figure.

When the smoke cleared, Vegeta stood where he was without a scratch, a disdainful smile on his lips.

The sight only made Android 19 more excited. With a grotesque laugh, he lunged forward and smashed a fist into Vegeta's face. Vegeta did not budge, taking the blow head-on. Excitedly, Android 19 threw punch after punch, but Vegeta neither defended nor dodged, allowing every blow to land on his body. After finishing his combo, Android 19 drove his head viciously into Vegeta's. Even then, Vegeta merely took a tiny step back.

"Your strength... really is only at this level."

Android 19 froze for a moment.

"Didn't I tell you? After transforming into a Super Saiyan, your personality becomes more violent, and you get this... feeling of exhilaration." He looked at Android 19, a cruel curve forming at his lips. "You don't feel pain, do you? Then you're really lucky."

As soon as he finished speaking, Vegeta took several steps forward, vanished in a flash, and viciously kicked Android 19 in the abdomen. The sheer force lifted Android 19 off the ground. Vegeta pressed the attack, following up with an elbow strike and another kick that knocked Android 19 to the ground and sent him skidding away.

"S-So strong!" The others were left speechless by his clean, decisive fighting style.

Vegeta walked up to Android 19, who lay on the ground, and looked down at him. "What's wrong? Is this beyond the calculations of trash androids like you?"

Android 19 sprang to his feet with a kip-up and rammed his head toward Vegeta. Vegeta planted his hands on the ground and deftly dodged, then kicked Android 19 in the abdomen with both feet, launching him high into the sky before powering up and chasing after him.

Android 19 spread his limbs wide in midair to forcibly steady himself—but Vegeta was already in front of him. Android 19 roared and unleashed a barrage of punches, but Vegeta effortlessly evaded every one.

With a cold snort, Vegeta drove a fist into Android 19's face. Red liquid flowed from Android 19's mouth and nostrils.

"Pretty convincing—so is that blood, or motor oil?"

Enraged and humiliated, Android 19 fired beams from his eyes again. Vegeta easily dodged them, then flashed above him and slammed both clasped fists down onto Android 19's head. Android 19 immediately plummeted downward at tremendous speed.

Below, Gohan and the others saw Android 19 crashing toward them and quickly scattered.

Android 19 slammed heavily into the ground, gouging out a deep crater and kicking up dust that filled the sky.

As the dust cleared, Android 19's body lay half-buried beneath the dirt. Vegeta landed before him.

Hearing Vegeta land, Android 19 suddenly sprang up and grabbed his wrist. "Ohoho—got you! I won't let go until I've drained all your energy!"

Android 20 looked delighted, while everyone else was filled with concern.

Vegeta, however, looked completely unconcerned, even faintly amused. "You said you absolutely won't let go, right?" He lowered his gaze to the hand gripping his wrist. "Let go—did you hear me?" With that, he planted both feet on Android 19's round face and rose into the air from the recoil.

"I already warned you." Vegeta began to exert force, stretching Android 19's arms taut to their limit.

"So that's it. You really do absorb energy through your hands, using it to strengthen yourself."

"I won't let go even if I die!"

"You definitely will."

Vegeta suddenly exploded with power—Android 19's hands were ripped clean off at the wrists. Wires protruded from the breaks, leaking a motor-oil-like fluid. Vegeta removed the severed hands still clamped tightly around his wrist and examined the devices in their palms. "I see. You absorb energy with mechanisms in your palms. You did absorb quite a bit from me, but you can't pull any more tricks now, can you?"

He tossed the severed hands to the ground and walked toward Android 19. Terror covered Android 19's face as he tried to back away, only to find his escape route blocked.

"So even an android can feel fear." Vegeta mocked him.

For the first time, fear appeared on Android 19's face. He turned around in panic and crawled away, fleeing in disgrace. The clownish cackling from earlier, when he had beaten Goku and drained his energy, was gone—there was only a machine desperately trying to escape, and a Saiyan Prince drawing ever closer.

"Damn it..." Android 20 watched the scene, fear trembling in his voice.

Vegeta flew out of the crater and hovered in the air, looking at Android 20. "Don't get impatient. Once I'm done with him, I'll take my time dealing with you."

He looked toward Android 19, who had already fled some distance away. Rather than immediately giving chase, he raised his power and extended his right hand. Golden aura lit up the sky.

"Take this—Super Vegeta's Big Bang Attack!"

An immensely powerful energy blast shot from Vegeta's hand toward the still-fleeing Android 19. Gohan, the others, and Android 20 were all stunned—the power gathered within that blast was simply overwhelming.

The energy blast struck Android 19 without surprise and erupted in a violent explosion. Blinding light illuminated the surroundings, followed by a brown mushroom cloud rising into the sky.

When everything finally settled, the uneven terrain and the surrounding mountains had all been carved into a vast, smooth arc. Android 19's head fell from the sky and hit the ground with a dull metallic thud.

After finishing this, Vegeta landed behind Android 20. Android 20 turned around, not appearing particularly flustered. "It seems you truly are as powerful as you claimed. We miscalculated. But your chances of victory are still minuscule."

Vegeta snorted, dropped out of his Super Saiyan transformation, and brushed the dust from his battle suit. "That piece of junk absorbed a lot of my energy just now, so this is your best chance to defeat me—come at me."

Android 20 did not fall for Vegeta's provocation. Instead, he became even more cautious.

"Didn't you just say our chances of winning were minuscule? That doesn't seem very likely given the current situation—so I'd like to know what your trump card is."

"Hehehe... That's because no matter how unimaginably strong you are, someone at your level still can't defeat an android."

"So it was just empty bravado."

Android 20 did not continue arguing. He turned and flew toward the mountains, moving far faster than before.

Vegeta did not immediately give chase. Instead, he first asked Krillin for a Senzu Bean to restore his strength. Though Krillin had his reservations, he still tossed him one for the sake of the bigger picture. After eating the Senzu Bean, Vegeta transformed into a Super Saiyan again and flew after Android 20. After discussing it among themselves, the others followed as well.

Watching everyone vanish toward the mountains, Malvis did not follow.

What was happening on this planet was not over yet. If he remembered correctly, someone else would arrive today—and strictly speaking, that person had already come here once. He turned to glance in the direction of Capsule Corporation, then waited quietly.
