"Who are you?" Android 16's voice was calm and deep. "Doctor Gero's files contain no information about you." Faced with this sudden arrival, he felt no fear—there was no malice coming from this man, and the small animals were so close to him. He had to be a good person. Android 16 silently reached that conclusion.
Malvis did not answer. He merely walked over to stand beside Android 16 and looked down at Android 17 and Android 18 below.
"I never thought Doctor Gero, a man who delighted in killing, could create a warrior like you who loved peace. That is truly rare." There was a hint of regret in his voice. "If he himself had been a peace-loving man, that would have been a good thing for our universe. What a pity."
Malvis gave his arm a slight shake, and the little bird perched on his fingertip fluttered its wings and flew into the distance. "The two below aren't bad either. They haven't gone completely rotten. In fact, right now—they're even a little better than certain people."
Krillin looked toward the two figures standing side by side atop the hill and froze for a moment. "That guy... isn't he the God of Destruction Trunks brought here? Why is he with the androids?"
After confirming that there were no more enemies nearby, Android 17 and Android 18 flew down to the road. They too saw Malvis standing beside Android 16.
"Who are you?" Their confusion was exactly the same as Android 16's, but unlike his calmness, theirs carried wariness.
Whoosh—
In the next instant, Malvis vanished from where he stood. When he reappeared, he was behind Android 17 and Android 18, in front of Krillin. Tilting his head toward the still-dazed Krillin, he said, "Aren't you going to give them Senzu Beans? If you wait any longer, they'll really be dead."
Startled by his sudden appearance, Krillin staggered back several steps.
Android 17 and Android 18 quickly retreated to Android 16's side and assumed fighting stances, their eyes locked tightly on Malvis.
"Aren't you going to kill Goku?" Malvis asked calmly. "No one is stopping you now."
Android 18 kept her gaze fixed on the mysterious and powerful man, caution and confusion flickering in her eyes. "You're not here to stop us?"
Malvis narrowed his eyes slightly, as composed as ever. "As long as you pose no threat to the balance of the universe, I naturally will not interfere in your affairs."
At those words, the taut string in Android 17's heart loosened. With his strength, he had never feared any opponent to begin with—and when Malvis had appeared behind them earlier, he had shown not the slightest hostility. He waved a hand. "Forget it. Don't mind him. Let's go!"
This man was not in Doctor Gero's files, but so what? Hadn't their previous opponents all fallen? As for that teleportation just now, it was only because he had not been paying attention. Thinking this, Android 17 turned without hesitation and flew off in a certain direction. After a brief moment of thought, Android 18 followed.
Android 16 gave a slight nod, signaling to Malvis before stepping forward to follow his companions. His tall figure gradually receded, soon blending into the dusk in the distance.
Watching the androids vanish, Malvis turned to Krillin, who was still standing there blankly. "If you don't feed them Senzu Beans now, they're really going to be kind of dead."
"Oh, right... I got it." Only then did Krillin snap out of it and hurriedly fly down toward the others. Pulling out Senzu Beans from his clothes, he fed them one by one. Under the miraculous effects of the Senzu Beans, the few people who had been "kind of dead" soon regained their vitality.
After feeding Tien Shinhan a Senzu Bean, Krillin looked at the three remaining in his hand, then at Vegeta lying on the ground. In the end, he decided to use one on him as well.
Watching the revived group, Malvis spoke with a teasing tone. "Well, everyone? How did it feel getting beaten up by androids?"
When he was off duty, he was actually quite easy to get along with—but during work hours, that was another matter. After all, a God of Destruction could not be someone soft-hearted. Just look at Universe 9 over in the other spacetime.
Just as Krillin collected his thoughts and prepared to explain everything that had happened, an enraged shout suddenly rang out—Vegeta slowly rose to his feet, glaring at Malvis with a face full of fury, flames nearly bursting from his eyes.
"You bastard!" Vegeta gritted his teeth, his voice thunderous. "You disappeared when we were fighting the androids, and now that they're gone, you come back to talk big and mock us... Do you really think you're tired of living?"
Vegeta had only just awakened, his mind not yet fully clear, when Malvis's taunt reached his ears. His clenched fists trembled slightly, whether from the lingering agony of his severed arm or from the humiliation he could not put into words—he had heard Malvis loud and clear. Every casually spoken word felt like a merciless mockery of his helplessness and crushing defeat. Already filled with resentment and indignation at having lost to the androids, Vegeta's fury erupted like a volcano, utterly beyond restraint.
"Don't, Dad!" Knowing how unfathomably powerful Malvis was, Trunks hurried forward to stop him, but it was already too late.
The smile on Malvis's face vanished instantly, and his gaze turned piercingly cold. The next second, he appeared at Vegeta's side, one hand firmly resting on Vegeta's shoulder.
"You've offended me again and again. You think I'll just let you get away with it?"
The instant his words fell, the ground beneath Vegeta's feet split apart, dense spiderweb-like cracks spreading madly in every direction. His eyes immediately lost focus as the terrifying force from Malvis's hand pinned him down completely, leaving him unable to move even a finger. His knees bent against his will, and he dropped to the ground. Then, the instant Malvis withdrew his hand, he toppled heavily forward and passed out completely.
"Dad!" Trunks rushed to Vegeta's side and anxiously checked his condition. Nearby, Tien Shinhan and Piccolo instantly tensed, staring warily at Malvis without daring to let down their guard.
"Don't worry. I didn't kill him." Malvis's voice gradually returned to calmness as he said evenly, "For Trunks and Bulma's sake, I merely taught him a lesson—so he remembers that the next time he faces a god, he should show the respect due."
After carefully checking, Trunks confirmed that his father had merely fainted and was not in any danger. He immediately gave Malvis a deep bow, his tone respectful and apologetic. "I'm sorry, Lord Malvis! I apologize on my father's behalf... and thank you for showing mercy."
Malvis nodded lightly. His tone remained calm, yet carried an unquestionable authority. "There won't be a next time."
