"God of Destruction?"

After hearing Malvis introduce himself, Shin and Kibito exchanged glances.

"A God of Destruction...?" Shin repeated hesitantly. He vaguely remembered seeing the term in some ancient text, but those fragmented records had been far too old for him to take seriously. He had never imagined it was not merely a legend.

Malvis did not answer their questions. Instead, he walked to the edge of a small lake, beside which stood a towering stone pillar.

A sword was embedded in the pillar, its entire blade buried within the stone, with only the hilt exposed.

"Please stop."

Seeing what Malvis intended to do, Shin and Kibito hurried over to stop him, though their voices were rather quiet. After all, the person before them was simply too powerful.

"That is the Supreme Kai Sword. Previous Supreme Kais have tried to pull it out, but they all failed."

Shin hastily explained, hoping to avoid getting hit again.

Malvis ignored Shin as he rushed in front of him, casually pushing aside the Supreme Kai, who did not even reach Malvis's chest with his hair included.

Malvis walked up to the stone pillar, crouched down, and gripped the hilt with one hand.

"Wait—"

Shin had not even finished trying to stop him when Malvis slightly raised his wrist. A dull cracking sound came from within the stone pillar. It had not been broken by brute force; rather, the ancient energy forming the seal had collapsed on its own the instant it sensed the power of destruction.

The Supreme Kai Sword was pulled free, its blade perfectly intact, with even some stone chips clinging to its hilt.

They knew that this man who called himself a God of Destruction was strong, but seeing him pull out the Supreme Kai Sword so easily still left them utterly incredulous.

"Do not measure me, a God of Destruction, by the strength of you Supreme Kais. If I wanted to, a thousand—ten thousand—Supreme Kais would be dealt with in an instant."

Malvis held the Supreme Kai Sword horizontally and examined it carefully. He could not sense any aura of a God of Destruction from it, only a strange seal.

Clang—

The blade snapped into two amid a crisp metallic ring, its fracture as smooth as a mirror.

"Ah—the Supreme Kai Sword... it broke!" Shin's voice nearly choked at the end, while Kibito's face went deathly pale. This sword had been worshipped in the Supreme Kai World for countless generations, yet it had been broken before their very eyes.

Malvis looked down at the broken sword, his tone calm. "Do I need to invite you out?"

When Old Kai failed to appear after the Supreme Kai Sword broke, Malvis knew that he was hiding.

"Young man, do not be so impatient. You should learn to be considerate toward the elderly. I can sense that you are a god, but I cannot sense you clearly. Could you clear up my confusion?" A faint wisp of white mist drifted from the broken edge of the blade. An aged voice followed, carrying a hint of helplessness at having been exposed.

Seeing an unfamiliar god arrive in the Supreme Kai World also made Old Kai curious. Given his experience, he knew whether this universe had gods of the same rank as Supreme Kais.

"A God of Destruction."

"A God of Destruction, hm? What did you say? A God of Destruction?!"

Seeing Old Kai's voice suddenly rise and his eyes widen, Malvis wore a faint, unreadable smile. He slowly raised a hand and slightly spread his fingers, a thread of purple destruction energy dancing at his fingertips.

"Do you know what a God of Destruction does?"

Old Kai immediately took three steps back, holding both hands out in front of himself. All of his earlier dignity vanished. "Wait, wait, wait! Young man, do not go around frightening old people at every turn!"

Seeing that the old man who had emerged from the Supreme Kai Sword, dressed in Supreme Kai robes, was like this, Shin's jaw nearly dropped. But after glancing at Malvis's fingers and the flickering purple point of light, he swallowed the words on the tip of his tongue.

Malvis closed his fingers, and the purple glow went out. He was quite satisfied with Old Kai's reaction—at least this one knew reverence. Things would be much easier in the future.

"Are you a God of Destruction responsible for destroying useless planets, and sometimes destroying people who disrupt the universe?"

Old Kai hurriedly confirmed his guess.

"You know about Gods of Destruction?"

Malvis could not help feeling curious when Old Kai described some of a God of Destruction's duties.

"I heard about them from my predecessors. I was told that in other spacetime, in addition to Supreme Kais, there were Gods of Destruction who were stronger and stood at the pinnacle of the universe, as well as even more powerful angels. Supreme Kais create new planets, while Gods of Destruction destroy planets that have not gotten on the right track or lack potential, working together to improve the universe."

"When I first heard this, I wondered whether our spacetime also had gods such as Gods of Destruction and angels. I searched for them, and even the Supreme Kais before me searched for them, but we found nothing. I never expected to see the God of Destruction of our spacetime today."

Old Kai sounded rather excited as he spoke. With a God of Destruction in this universe, it would develop better, and whenever they encountered a problem they could not handle, the God of Destruction could serve as a final safeguard.

"Sir, are you also a Supreme Kai?"

After listening from the side for a while, Shin finally found a chance to interject and hurriedly asked.

"I was the Supreme Kai fifteen generations ago. You are the current Supreme Kai?"

Looking at Shin in Supreme Kai robes, Old Kai found it a little hard to believe. This person was somewhat weak; even Old Kai as he was now could exchange a few moves with him, perhaps even overpower him.

"Yes, Ancestor. I am the current Supreme Kai."

Hearing the old man say that he had been the Supreme Kai fifteen generations ago, Shin became extremely excited.

Malvis answered Old Kai's question.

"I see. Thank you, Lord Malvis. Is it all right if I address you that way?"

Old Kai nodded and looked toward Malvis.

"Mm, from now on, take him around more and familiarize him with the duties of a Supreme Kai. Destruction and creation are inseparable. After I destroy, you must also appropriately create planets and guide civilizations."

As he watched the two of them talk and suddenly shift the topic to him, discussing strange matters, Shin felt a little lost.

"Ancestor, why do you call Malvis Lord God of Destruction? And isn't the duty of a Supreme Kai to maintain the balance of the universe?"

Hearing Shin's words, Old Kai smacked him on the head, looking disappointed at his failure to meet expectations.

Malvis decided to have the Supreme Kais build his God of Destruction's World first. After all, he would need a place to train and live in later.

"Understood, Lord Malvis. However, meeting your requirements will take some time. During that period, please stay in Supreme Kai World for the time being."

Upon hearing Malvis's request, Old Kai readily agreed.

"That's fine. Just so happens, I have something else I want to ask you."

After receiving Old Kai's response, Malvis did not forget the other reason he had come here.

"Please ask, Lord Malvis. So long as we know the answer, we will tell you."

At Old Kai's words, Shin and Kibito nodded repeatedly as well.

"I remember that Supreme Kais, or their attendants, can use Instant Transmission, right? Can that Instant Transmission be taught to others?"

Malvis looked once more at Old Kai, the most experienced among them.

Old Kai pondered for a moment. "The Instant Transmission used by Supreme Kais is fundamentally a traversal achieved through the authority granted by our divine office. It is not a technique that can be learned through training."

Old Kai told Malvis where Instant Transmission came from, then carefully observed the God of Destruction's reaction. Malvis fell silent for a few seconds. He had long been mentally prepared for this outcome.
