On the Supreme Kai World, Old Kai was reviewing Shin's work, nodding from time to time.
It had to be said that although Shin used to know nothing at all, no different from a complete rookie, he had indeed made tremendous progress after all these years of training.
Though he had yet to fully meet the standards of a qualified Supreme Kai, he was already much better. Before long, even without guidance at his side, he should be able to handle things on his own.
Malvis appeared behind them. "Yo, is Shin still observing the development of planets?"
"Lord Malvis, you're back." Seeing Malvis return, Old Kai went up to greet him. "This junior of mine who used to be such a worry has made great progress. I believe that before long, he'll be able to develop this universe alongside you."
"Lord Supreme Kai, Old Ancestor! The meal is ready." Kibito walked over at that moment. Upon seeing Malvis, he hurriedly stepped before him and bowed in greeting. "Lord Malvis, you're back."
"You don't need to be so formal. You know I don't care much about that." Malvis looked at the two of them helplessly. Though he had to maintain the dignity of a God of Destruction outside, he did not put on airs around those he knew.
"Did Lord Malvis return this time because something happened?" After hearing Malvis say that, Old Kai relaxed considerably. Only Kibito remained as respectful as ever.
"Has anything unusual happened in the universe lately? Especially around the South Galaxy." Malvis had not forgotten why he had returned.
By the timeline of the story, Broly should have appeared by now. If this young warrior of limitless potential could be properly guided and trained, he would undoubtedly become a powerful force, with far-reaching effects on the future development of the entire universe.
Legendary Super Saiyans often found it difficult to avoid falling into a berserk state. The reason was simply that they could not effectively control their overwhelming power and were instead consumed and dominated by that terrifying energy.
Not only would this threaten their own lives, it could also bring catastrophic consequences to those around them. But as long as his mental strength was properly improved and he could master that power, he would be the strongest contender for the position of the universe's mightiest warrior.
"Hey, kid! Has there been anything unusual in the South Galaxy lately?" Hearing Malvis's question, Old Kai turned his gaze toward Supreme Kai Shin.
"Lord Malvis, Old Ancestor, there hasn't been anything unusual in the universe lately." Shin answered honestly, then looked at Malvis again. "Lord Malvis, is there some problem in the South Galaxy?"
"Nothing?" Malvis sank into thought. Could it be that Paragus hasn't made a move yet? Or are they simply not in the South Galaxy at all? Then where could they be?
A thought flashed through his mind like lightning. He knew that speculation alone could not lead to a definite conclusion, so he decided to investigate personally. If they were not there, then perhaps Broly in this universe had already died, perhaps even before the story began.
"Shin, help me find Planet Vampa." Malvis looked at the Supreme Kai, who had stopped working.
Upon hearing this, Supreme Kai Shin immediately used his authority to begin searching. Before long, he successfully located Planet Vampa and passed its precise coordinates to Malvis. With a flash, Malvis vanished from the spot.
Planet Vampa was an extremely desolate and primitive world. There were only creatures that acted on instinct, with no highly intelligent lifeforms. Perhaps it would get on the right track many years later, or perhaps it would be dealt with before then.
The instant he set foot on the planet, Malvis knew that this trip had not been in vain.
He sensed two utterly out-of-place ki signatures—one was probably only around 4,000 by human standards, while the other, in stark contrast, was as deep and boundless as the stars. Its strength was likely comparable to Frieza at full power on Namek.
In an instant, Malvis flashed forward and arrived at the location of those two ki signatures.
Looking at the burly young man before him and the middle-aged man beside him, Malvis knew he had found the people he was looking for.
Compared to the Broly of the Z timeline, this one was clearly more approachable, with a gentler and kinder personality. In terms of potential for growth alone, he was likely no inferior, perhaps even greater.
"Hello, Broly." Ignoring Paragus beside him, Malvis walked straight up to Broly, who was about as tall as he was.
"Who are you? How do you know my name?" The somewhat simple-looking Broly stared curiously at the first person he had ever met besides his father.
"Broly! Be careful of this man." Unlike Broly's curiosity, Paragus wore a grave expression, cold sweat rolling down his face.
This person had appeared without him noticing a trace of him, and he had not seen any spacecraft land either. How had this person reached this planet? For more than twenty years, only he and Broly had been on this planet.
Hearing Paragus's words, Broly was confused, but he still put away his curious expression.
He did not fully understand why his father was so tense, but his father was afraid—and that was enough.
He shifted slightly, shielding Paragus behind him. A layer of vigilance appeared in his once-gentle eyes, like a startled beast that had yet to decide whether to attack.
"Don't worry, I mean no harm." Malvis turned his gaze toward Broly and said calmly, "I came for him—your son's potential should not be buried on this barren planet."
"What? What are you planning to do to my Broly?" Hearing Malvis's words, Paragus became extremely tense. Broly was everything to him. He still intended to use Broly to take revenge on King Vegeta someday.
"Are you still thinking of returning to take revenge on King Vegeta and the others?" Malvis calmly revealed the Saiyans' current situation. "You no longer have that chance. Planet Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza over twenty years ago. Now, only a few Saiyan infants who had been sent away as children, along with Saiyans who had not returned to Planet Vegeta, survived by luck."
Those words struck Paragus's heart like a bolt from the blue. Paragus's entire body went limp, as though his bones had been pulled out, and he staggered back two steps before steadying himself against the rock wall.
He said nothing. His lips merely trembled—not from fear, but because more than twenty years of hatred had suddenly lost its target. King Vegeta was dead. Not killed by him, not overthrown by a Saiyan rebellion, but exterminated by Frieza. From the very beginning, his revenge had had no target.
