An hour later, Broly, whose physique and strength were greater, was the first to awaken from his slumber.
He instinctively raised a hand to press against his slightly sore abdomen. The moment he opened his eyes, the sight before him left him momentarily dazed.
A clear blue sky was dotted with wisps of white cloud. Lush green grass covered the ground, while dense forests brimmed with life—after twenty years on the barren Planet Vampa, this was scenery he had never been fortunate enough to see.
"Where is this?" Broly slowly rose to his feet and looked around, his eyes filled with pure curiosity and confusion. Before long, he noticed Paragus lying unconscious nearby.
"Father!" Broly's heart tightened. He rushed over and carefully checked him over. Only after confirming that his father was merely unconscious and uninjured did he finally breathe a sigh of relief.
"Oh, you're awake."
A cool voice suddenly came from behind him. Malvis had silently appeared at Broly's back, quietly watching the father and son.
"Who exactly are you? Where is this?"
Broly's entire body stiffened as he spun around, staring warily at the newcomer. After their earlier clash, he instinctively remained on guard. While keeping his eyes fixed on Malvis, he subtly shifted his position to shield Paragus behind him.
"I am the God of Destruction, Malvis."
Seeing Broly's instinctive little gesture of protecting his father, Malvis inwardly sighed and found it somewhat amusing.
The Broly before him was far purer and kinder at heart than the Legendary Saiyan from the other timeline.
Had it been that Broly, completely consumed by brutality, he would have already fired Ki blasts without asking questions upon seeing his father collapsed on the ground and started fighting. But this one was gentle and soft-hearted by nature, with pure kindness still remaining deep within him.
"Kibito, bring some food over," Malvis instructed calmly, turning his head.
A moment later, Kibito hurried over carrying a large assortment of exquisite food, which he neatly laid out on the grass before Broly.
"Eat. These are things you've never tasted before." To ease Broly's vigilance, Malvis stepped forward first, picked up a portion of food, and calmly tasted it to show that it was harmless.
Broly stared fixedly at the food, his Adam's apple bobbing as he repeatedly swallowed his saliva. Only after seeing Malvis eat without issue did he lower his guard slightly and cautiously pick up a piece of food to put into his mouth.
The instant the delicacy touched his tongue, the exquisite flavor struck his taste buds.
Broly's pupils abruptly contracted, as though he had suffered an overwhelming sensory shock. Having endured hunger and cold for days on a barren planet, barely able to find enough to eat, he could no longer restrain his instincts. Like someone who had starved for days, he began wolfing down the food in huge mouthfuls.
Just then, Supreme Kai Shin and Old Kai walked over side by side.
Old Kai stopped and watched Broly devour the food without a care in the world. After examining him closely for a moment, intense astonishment gradually appeared on his face.
Previously, he had only observed through a crystal ball and had not examined him carefully. Now that he sensed him up close, he finally realized the terrifying potential hidden within this Saiyan. He was truly a peerless genius seen only once in ten thousand years.
If the power buried deep within his body were completely unleashed, his level of strength would surely break through again and again, rising to an unimaginable height.
"Broly, from now on, stay here and train with the Supreme Kais," Malvis said with a smile.
Broly swallowed the food in his mouth, and a delighted light instantly shone in his eyes. He raised his head and asked eagerly, "Really? I can do that, Malvis?"
"You should address him as Lord Malvis!" Kibito hurried forward and sternly corrected his disrespect.
"Mhm, mhm, I'll remember! Lord Malvis!" Broly immediately corrected himself in earnest, his attitude obedient and sincere.
"Broly!"
A weak call came from behind him as Paragus slowly awoke as well.
The moment he opened his eyes and saw the completely unfamiliar surroundings, panic rose in his heart, and he immediately called out for his son.
To him, only staying by Broly's side could give him even a shred of security.
After rising and seeing the four figures before Broly, Paragus suppressed his emotions and respectfully asked, "May I ask... where is this place?"
His mind was still clear. He remembered their previous clash and understood that these people possessed unfathomable strength far beyond anything he could imagine. He did not dare act rashly in the slightest.
"This is the Supreme Kai World. These two are the Supreme Kais, and the one before you is the God of Destruction," Kibito stepped forward to explain.
Upon hearing their identities, Paragus's heart trembled. He immediately bowed deeply, his posture incomparably respectful. "Greetings, Lord God of Destruction. Greetings, Lord Supreme Kais."
"No need for formalities. Sit down and eat as well. I imagine it has been a long time since either of you had a proper meal. This food is enough to fill both your stomachs." Malvis casually waved a hand, his tone calm and gentle.
"Thank you, Lord Malvis!"
Paragus solemnly expressed his thanks, then sat down beside Broly and began eagerly eating the food before them.
The father and son had long been starving. In mere moments, they cleaned every last bit of food off the ground.
After they had finished eating, Malvis looked at Paragus and spoke directly. "I intend to have Broly remain in the Supreme Kai World and train under the Supreme Kais. Your opinion carries little weight, but as his father, I'll still ask you."
"To receive the Supreme Kais' careful guidance is Broly's greatest honor. I have absolutely no objections!" Paragus answered respectfully.
Though unwillingness and schemes still lurked within his heart, the moment he met Malvis's eyes, which seemed to see through everything and allowed no argument, all his thoughts and resentment vanished in an instant. Before absolutely overwhelming power, all resistance was futile.
"You may choose to remain in the Supreme Kai World and accompany Broly, or you may choose to return to the mortal realm." Malvis offered both kindness and warning, giving him a way out while sounding the alarm. "But remember this: do not entertain any crooked thoughts. Otherwise, I will erase you completely."
Paragus's eyes instantly lit up, and he was overjoyed. "Really? Thank you, Lord Malvis!"
During the meal, he had already learned that the man before him was the God of Destruction who wielded authority over the universe. The two beside him were also exalted Supreme Kais, especially the elderly one, who was an ancient Supreme Kai from a bygone era.
Being allowed to remain in this sacred place was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for him.
Afterward, Malvis carefully discussed Broly's training arrangements with Old Kai and Supreme Kai Shin. Once everything had been settled, he turned and headed straight back to Earth.
At this moment, on Kami's Lookout, Goku and Gohan had already emerged from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Vegeta leaned against a pillar at the edge of the lookout with his arms crossed, saying nothing—the torn battle suit and purple bruises on his face already explained everything.
Trunks sat nearby with his head lowered, his short golden hair concealing his expression.
No need for further questions; their condition made the outcome obvious—Cell had successfully transformed into his Perfect Form. Vegeta and Trunks had given it everything they had, yet still suffered a crushing defeat.
Seeing Goku and Gohan in their golden-haired Super Saiyan forms, Malvis smiled faintly. "Still couldn't break through, Goku?"
"Yeah, Lord Malvis. In the end, I still couldn't break through to the next realm." Goku scratched his head, his smile as pure and cheerful as ever. Then he added, "But Gohan... he briefly broke through into an even higher form."
"So you plan to rest for now and stop training?"
"Yeah. For the time being, it'll be hard for our strength to improve any further."
"The path of cultivation values balance between exertion and rest. Training relentlessly without knowing when to pause can instead breed inner demons and leave one stagnant. As things stand now, this is for the best," Malvis said slowly.
Goku politely bid everyone farewell, then leaped down from Kami's Lookout. Turning into a streak of light, he sped toward Turtle Hermit Island.
