Rather, she was happy that her daughter was willing to make requests of her.
"It's not just because of that. Anyway, thank you, Mother," Preya said softly.
Not noticing what Preya had said, Aya looked as though something was weighing on her mind. After hesitating for a moment, she finally spoke.
"Preya, I have something to tell you too."
"Hm? What does Mother want to say?" Preya replied with a smile.
"Well, I've decided. I'm going to become an adventurer!"
At those words, Preya's smile immediately froze.
Sorry, but please let Mom be selfish just this once! Seeing Preya's puzzled expression, Aya silently murmured in her heart.
Author's Note:
I wrote five to six thousand words each day over the weekend. I'm so diligent that I'm moved by myself!
But tomorrow is Monday ORZ. I have a ton of classes and no backlog of chapters QAQ, so because of my classes, I might only be able to update once a day on weekdays. Um... I hope you understand. Anyway, I'll do my best!

Adventurer
"So, why does Mother want to become an adventurer?" Preya and Camellia stood on either side of Aya, sandwiching her between them. The pressure from her two daughters nearly swallowed Aya whole.
At times like this, she always felt like she was the daughter instead. How should she put it? Maybe it was just her imagination, but weren't Camellia and the others being a little too overprotective?
Sitting on the sofa, Aya silently complained about the current situation.
As expected, the decision she had courageously announced—to become an adventurer—had met with fierce opposition from both daughters.
Their foremost objection was safety.
"Absolutely not. We cannot let Mother expose herself to danger."
"I'll summon enough high-ranking Shadow Demons and Hanzo to ensure my safety. I have such adorable daughters waiting for me at home—how could I possibly put myself in danger?" Aya then laid out her safety measures in detail.
In addition to high-ranking Shadow Demons that could hide within shadows and Hanzo, the ninja skilled in stealth and reconnaissance, she had prepared thorough counterintelligence defenses, trigger-based time-stop devices, forced relocation measures, and more.
Those measures alone showed that Aya had given this serious thought. In fact, if someone could break through all of them and threaten her safety, then staying at home probably would not protect her either.
"Becoming an adventurer is a decision I made after careful consideration," Aya said seriously, listing three benefits of doing so.
First was information. Adventurers mainly operated in cities, and gathering information there would undoubtedly be far more efficient than doing so in forests or villages.
Second were money and reputation. Based on the information they had obtained from Est Village, high-ranking adventurers possessed both considerable income and fame. Aya judged that this would be highly beneficial to her future actions.
Third, there was the possibility that other game players had also been transported to this world. Among them might be her friends—or perhaps her enemies.
Whether they were friends or enemies, there was no doubt that whoever learned of the other's existence first would hold the initiative.
Considering what might happen in the future, Aya did not want to be the one caught unaware no matter what.
Of course, there were two more reasons Aya had not mentioned—very personal reasons.
