The half-elf girl's body was already far tougher than granite, but it was not yet strong enough to withstand that arrow.
The arrow seemed to have locked itself inside her flesh, carrying Certain Death as it sent her flying sideways and smashing through several walls in succession.
The bell tower collapsed outright after its load-bearing wall was smashed through, burying Certain Death beneath the rubble.
Aya carried her bow as she slowly walked toward it.
She had used her full strength for that shot—full strength in terms of physical power.
She had not aimed for Certain Death's head, nor had she cast enhancement magic such as [Sanctuary of Strength].
That was because Certain Death had not used many defensive measures either. The protective spells she had used were basically low-tier; rather than defenses, they were more like tests.
Even so, Aya had still fired that arrow with all her strength. When she released it, the muscles in her arm had even felt slightly sore—though they recovered in an instant.
Aya looked around and clicked her tongue softly.
A deep trench-like pit had appeared in the ground, while the gale unleashed by the passing arrow had plowed through the church grounds.
All the church windows had shattered as well, exploding the instant Aya released the bowstring.
The bell tower before her had collapsed completely, reduced to a field of broken bricks.
It looked as though a typhoon had swept through.
"Let's just say the Shadow Servant did it. It's dead anyway."
Aya walked toward the rubble of broken bricks. She intended to retrieve her arrow, and incidentally retrieve Certain Death as well.
She was not dead yet. Aya could still sense her presence—surviving was proof of her skill, since Aya had aimed for her heart.
