With Lilith, a professional summoner, now in Nazarick, they had gained a great deal of help. Many problems that had previously required mercenaries could likely be handled even more effectively by Lilith's summoned beasts.
At the very least, it would save them a considerable amount on scrolls and summoning materials.
"And then, you will take over Shalltear's former duties and gather intelligence in this city," Ainz said. "Considering the issue of adventurer Momon's achievements, you can also 'create' a few incidents."
"I understand. Please rest assured, this is what I excel at," Lilith said with a smile.
After the brief strategy meeting, Aureole remained in charge of surveillance, while Pandora's Actor left with Ainz for somewhere else. Lilith, meanwhile, created quite a few summoned beasts for them on the spot, consuming nearly half her MP.
Everyone else had already left, leaving Lilith alone in the room. She lay on the soft bed with her arms around her head.
I don't really understand what Lord Ainz is trying to do, Lilith thought silently. It feels like Lord Ainz has already decided that something will happen to Shalltear tonight.
After thinking about it for a while and finding it inexplicable, Lilith stopped dwelling on the matter.
"Oh, right. They've already left, so I can dismiss the barrier."
The reason they had not held the strategy meeting in Nazarick and had instead come all the way to this inn was because Nazarick had a special spatial barrier within it. Aside from the Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown, no spatial magic could be used, making it highly inconvenient for the NPCs to move around.
And since they were discussing important matters outside, they still needed to take the most basic precautions to protect their information.
