Above the Cloud-Silver Snowfield, two figures swiftly approached from different directions.
Although both had concealed themselves, they had clearly detected each other, and finally landed together atop a hill.
Even after landing, they remained far apart, both highly wary.
One looked like an old man with snow-white hair, while the other had the handsome appearance of a youth.
The young man spoke first, smiling broadly as he cupped his hands toward the other:
"Martial Uncle Frost Cloud, where are you headed?"
"Not bad. You're much more polite than that old bastard from your sect!" Although the old man praised the young man's friendly gesture, the indifference in his words was as biting as the wind across the snow.
He showed no intention of answering the question, either.
"Martial Uncle, you still harbor some prejudice against my master!" the cold-faced cultivator continued.
The old man still did not answer.
So he spoke again:
"I imagine you also sensed something had happened on Purple Cold Peak, Martial Uncle. To be frank, there's a fifth-stage Frost Essence Condensation Fruit tree on that mountain, and our Frost Cloud Palace wants it too."
"Why don't we join forces this time? We could watch out for each other!"
"You're certainly clever, but don't you know that old bastard Frost Cloud tricked me just like this back then and made off with a stalk of nine-bend spirit ginseng?" At those words, the old man's anger flared.
The young man fell silent upon hearing this.
He knew the other man was prejudiced. In his view, however, their Northern Frost Kingdom was the weakest of the Northern Region's five kingdoms.
And the reason for that weakness was the ancient Frostcold Sect's split.
