The palace was especially quiet, and Green Fork Earth Immortal drank his spirit tea rather noisily, glancing at Withered Jade Loose Immortal after every sip.
He did not press him. He simply took a sip and looked over, again and again, until the teapot was empty. Then he gave it a gentle shake and continued watching Withered Jade Loose Immortal.
"As I said, our Yaksha Clan has a way to ensure that both our races enter the Mortal Realm," Green Fork Earth Immortal finally said.
With that, he took out some spirit tea and began brewing another pot without a care.
His brewing technique was particularly crude. He grabbed a handful of leaves, dumped them all in, added water, and shook the pot hard. Once wisps of steam rose from the tea, he resumed taking a sip and glancing at Withered Jade Loose Immortal.
On the fifth sip, Withered Jade Loose Immortal shifted, sitting straighter, his gaze growing sharper.
"What are your terms?"
"Our Yaksha Race gets first pick of the two treasures. We also want a copy of the inheritance," Green Fork Earth Immortal said slowly.
As he spoke, he looked at Withered Jade Loose Immortal, his gaze finally losing its earlier nonchalance.
The Jade Soul Race possessed a Mysterious Heaven treasure, and naturally, their Yaksha Race did too.
But Mysterious Heaven treasures varied in quality, and a Mysterious Heaven Blood Treasure could even be bound to a race's destiny.
"I'll consider it." Green Fork Earth Immortal had expected Withered Jade Loose Immortal to be furious. Astral Jade Earth Immortal's expression did indeed darken, but Withered Jade Loose Immortal spoke calmly.
"How long?"
"Fellow Daoist Green Fork, you're drinking too hastily. The tea hasn't even steeped yet." Withered Jade Loose Immortal shook his head and began brewing tea himself.
