Some members of the Ye Family gathered once more in the council hall of Sky Shadow Peak.

The spirit vein's surge of spiritual energy seemed to lend the hall even greater majesty. Excitement shone in the eyes of the Ye Family members as they murmured among themselves.

Ye Jingzhong and Ye Qingwen were among them.

Before long, Ye Haisheng emerged in the distance.

He was no longer as subdued as before. A dense Killing Intent hung about him, and his Sword Qi, no longer restrained, had an edge that seemed fully bared.

He had led a force to capture Poplar Oasis, one of the four large oases.

The spoils, however, were meager. Many resources had already been moved to Heavenly Phoenix Oasis, and the time it took his force to arrive had allowed others to strip away some of what remained.

Almost all he had gained were the oasis's spirit vein, Spirit Herb Garden, and mineral veins.

Just then, Ye Xueliang appeared in the distance.

Even Ye Haisheng grew solemn at the sight of him.

Before, Ye Xueliang had still been mired in grief. Now he was utterly calm. His eyes seemed to have turned into those of a spirit snake again, filled with cold indifference.

"Everyone, this time we need to discuss hunting down the surviving Zhang Family cultivators. All of you here have spirit beasts capable of tracking scents, to one degree or another!" Ye Xueliang got straight to the point.

Ye Qingwen, Ye Jingzhong, and the others immediately understood.

They also shared another trait: each had only recently advanced in cultivation, so even a spiritual energy tide would bring them limited benefits.

That way, they would not miss out on much of the tide, and they could begin searching for the Zhang Family as soon as possible.
