Background

Celestial Pivot origins

The Ye Family traces its true lineage to the Celestial Pivot Ye Family, a major Spirit Realm clan from the Celestial Pivot Spirit Domain on Mortal Dust Continent. At its height, it possessed three Body Integration cultivators and the Beast-Link Tower. 937 997

The clan fell after its beast-linking methods were exposed. The Jade Soul Race attacked, human factions turned against the family, and other forces sought its Mysterious Heaven Blood Treasure. Nearly ninety percent of its cultivators died; surviving Spirit Transformation and Nascent Soul members fled with the Beast-Link Tower to lower realms. 997

The family later concealed much of this history in the Great Yu Realm. Half of its inheritance was known to originate from the Beast Wasteland, while the source of the remaining half remained restricted even among senior members. 372

Early Great Yu period

During its early appearance in Taihang Mountain, the Ye Family was a modest Foundation Establishment clan centered on spirit-beast cultivation. Unlike most cultivation families, it did not judge potential solely by spiritual roots; members with poor roots could still receive focused support through exceptional spirit beasts, alchemy, craftsmanship, or effort. 1 10

The family maintained strict secrecy because it lacked a Golden Core cultivator and had only five Purple Palace cultivators during one documented crisis. Its strongest external support was the Earth Dragon Demon King, a former family spirit beast that owed the Ye Family three favors. 372

Rise through Taihang and the Desert Sea

The Ye Family survived the Taihang beast tides, defeated hostile clans, and grew from a Foundation Establishment family into a Purple Palace family under Patriarch Ye Xingliu. Its territory and mortal population expanded alongside its cultivation base. 357

After relocating major operations to the Desert Sea, the family established Heavenly Phoenix Oasis, Sky Shadow Peak, Beast Valleys, markets, spirit fields, and affiliated-family networks. It used Nascent Soul ceremonies, trade fairs, body-tempering formations, and public displays of spirit beasts to establish authority over the region. 787 788 1059

Its later growth relied on accumulated inheritances from the Beast Wasteland, Pill Wasteland, Sword Wasteland, Talisman Wasteland, conquered clans, secret realms, and Heavenly General inheritances. 1222 1558

Patriarchal Succession

  • Ye Xingliu — Led the family through its transition from Foundation Establishment to Purple Palace status and formally transferred the Golden Dragon Token to his successor. 357
  • Ye Jingcheng — Became patriarch after Ye Xingliu and directed the family’s expansion, reforms, spirit-beast development, and rise to Spirit Transformation status. 357 1490
  • Ye Qingnian — Appointed patriarch during a later clan assembly; he oversaw long-term expansion plans, spirit-disciple policy, resource allocation, and the Beast Hall’s establishment. 1303 1612

Organization

Bloodline and membership

Membership is verified through the ancestral hall and family token. Possessing even a trace of Ye Family blood qualifies a person as a bloodline member, while non-bloodline cultivators may still serve as Ye Family cultivators under greater restrictions. 236

The family cultivates and employs non-bloodline members according to talent and loyalty. Those with suitable roots may marry into the clan, join specialized halls, or enter the Earth Inner Hall; those with weaker prospects may work in marketplaces, shops, and family duties. 236 358 1048

The Inner Hall consists of trusted cultivators who possess Beast-Link Marks and meet the family’s loyalty requirements. Its members are protected by restrictive formations intended to prevent soul-searching and the exposure of family secrets. 375

A Beast-Link Mark is innate and manifests only once, but its capacity can be increased through the Beast-Link Tower. The mark allows a cultivator to form links with spirit beasts and is one of the family’s highest secrets. 354 836

  • Beast-Link assessments examine loyalty before marks are bestowed. 836
  • Mark length determines potential capacity; seven-inch marks are regarded as exceptional. 640 836 837
  • The family can value five-spirit-root cultivators when their Beast-Link Marks, skills, and spirit beasts compensate for poor root aptitude. 1 1054

Halls and branch lineages

The Ye Family established dedicated halls to organize cultivation, production, discipline, and combat. Early appointments included an Alchemy Hall led by Ye Jingcheng, with Ye Xuefu as deputy hall master, and a Law Enforcement Hall led by Ye Haisheng. 722

Later reforms divided the clan into halls and branch lineages, including the Soaring Cloud, Yellow Sand, Distant Spirit, and White Poplar branches. Branch leaders receive stipends comparable to hall masters, while exceptional breakthroughs and spirit-child achievements earn additional rewards. 1048

The Beast Hall was established to manage ownerless spirit beasts and Sacred Mountains. Its beasts may be exchanged for family treasures and contribution points rather than treated as private property. 1612

Practices & Institutional Capabilities

Beast taming and breeding

Spirit beasts are the foundation of the Ye Family. The clan maintains Beast Valleys, breeds demon beasts and spirit fish, distributes suitable cubs to members, and uses selective breeding rather than relying on quantity alone. 1 605 787

  • Spirit-beast quality can outweigh poor spiritual roots in the family’s cultivation policy. 1 10
  • Breeding programs favor competition among stronger specimens, allowing superior bloodlines to produce more offspring. 605
  • The family has raised formidable Beast Valley residents, including mammoth elephants, golden giant lizards, demon rocs, and thunder rocs. 788
  • High-level spirit beasts may be inherited by selected spirit children to improve cultivation speed and breakthrough chances. 1047

Alchemy and spirit plants

The Ye Family uses contribution points to reward alchemy and family service. Ye Jingcheng earned early contribution points through refining Spirit-Feeding Pills, including additional rewards for pill fragrance. 1

Its alchemical inheritance later became a core institutional strength, with the Alchemy Hall tasked with researching advanced pill formulas and supporting Purple Palace breakthroughs. 722

The family also maintains extensive spirit-herb gardens, secret realms, spirit fields, and spirit-rice production. Spirit Plant Hall members are expected to nurture increasingly valuable spirit herbs as the family expands. 1047 1555 1612

Formations, body cultivation, and talismans

The Ye Family operates the Heavenly Gang Body-Tempering Grand Formation, later adapted into the Heavenly Gang Stairway for public ceremonies and cultivation. 788 1572

  • The formation provides body-tempering and spiritual-energy benefits at different levels of pressure. 788
  • The family’s body cultivators use advanced inheritances such as the Stellar Body-Tempering Art and Profound Wasteland Tyrant Body Secret Canon. 600 1222
  • Talisman cultivation became a priority after the clan acquired superior talisman inheritances and established dedicated specialists. 788 876 1222
  • Its inherited cultivation methods encompass sword cultivation, body cultivation, alchemy, artifact refinement, formations, spirit insects, and the five elements. 579 600 1222

Spirit children and focused cultivation

The spirit-child system prioritizes attainment and contribution rather than spiritual roots alone. Selected members receive resources intended to support them through late Purple Palace cultivation. 1047 1048

Spirit children are chosen across technical, cultivation, and combat paths, including the Alchemy, Artifact, Talisman, Formation, Spirit Plant, Clan School, Sword, Blade, and Law Enforcement branches. 1047
