Armed transport ships were the least valuable of the upcoming batch of projects that was about to bear fruit.

The prototype for the armed transport ship had been the Hope experimental spacecraft, designed by Sun Cheng himself and later modified by the Decepticon engineers under his command.

Back then, he had piloted that spacecraft and successfully delivered his first batch of Decepticons to Mars, where they established a new base.

After returning from Mars, Hope had been taken away by the Decepticon engineers under Sun Cheng's command to collect all manner of data.

After all, it had been the first spacecraft produced by the base that was capable of space travel. Although it was small, the Decepticon engineers he had long since trained had begun redesigning Hope, intending to use it to develop more new models.

In the end, based on Hope, the prototype of an armed transport ship was born.

Sun Cheng arrived inside a low mountain more than twenty kilometers from Base Two's control center. Within the enormous hangar, which had nearly hollowed out the entire mountain, over a dozen spacecraft that barely resembled Hope anymore were parked there.

He instinctively glanced up toward the interior of the mountain. Massive alloy plates had replaced the mountaintop; once opened, these spacecraft, which possessed vertical takeoff and landing capabilities, could take off directly from the hangar inside the mountain.

Apparently having received word of his arrival beforehand, a young Decepticon engineer hurried over.

His name was Magnifying Glass. From that strange name alone, it was clear that Sun Cheng had not given it to him; rather, it had been bestowed by his teacher, Hephaestus.
