The howling missiles drew ever closer to the ground.
Lightning glanced up at the sky, a cold smile appearing on his gloomy face.
"Missiles again. Earthlings only have these tricks!"
He swept his gaze around and ordered coldly, "Prepare to evade this wave of missiles. Contact Starscream and have him send another batch of replicated warriors as reinforcements!"
High above, the members of the Decepticon flight squadron who had been tangled up with the U.S. military fighters had now largely stopped engaging them.
Most of them bore varying degrees of damage, and three high-ranking warriors had even been shot down by U.S. military aircraft.
However, the U.S. military had paid a terrible price for it as well.
More than three hundred aircraft of various types had been shot down. Including the losses from the earlier probing attack, nearly four hundred aircraft had been lost. Even for the well-funded U.S. military, this had been a massive blow.
But Lightning was not satisfied with those results.
There were simply too few members in his flight squadron. Only seven or eight had arrived in the Solar System with him as part of the advance force. During the previous battle, they had nearly drained the energy in their AllSparks down to the red alert threshold in a very short time to achieve this result.
Although several elite-level members of the flight squadron remained, every one of them was wounded. Unless they received an immediate energy resupply, they no longer had the ability to take to the skies again anytime soon.
Three high-ranking flight squadron warriors had died, and the remaining Decepticons had been battered so badly by humans he despised. How could someone as proud as Lightning accept such an outcome?
The order requesting reinforcements was soon encrypted and transmitted toward the Moon by
