The Pittsburgh Police Department's phones had been ringing nonstop ever since night fell.

Since the end of World War II, Pittsburgh's steadily improving public safety had earned it a reputation as one of the safest cities in the United States. It had also repeatedly been rated one of the country's most livable cities.

Thanks to its excellent security, Pittsburgh had even hosted the Group of Twenty summit last year.

But because it had enjoyed peace for too long, Pittsburgh's police system had become somewhat bloated and sluggish.

They had enjoyed peace for so long that when calls from citizens and the federal 911 emergency system came in, the Pittsburgh Police Department immediately descended into chaos.

"Harry, there's been a murder on Washington Avenue. They say a monster showed up..."

"Phillip, take some men to Lincoln Park, now. Someone reported an iron monster over there. It's already killed a lot of people..."

"Damn it, what kind of emergency calls are these? They're saying alien monsters have appeared..."

At first, the Pittsburgh Police Department was skeptical of these incoming calls, and even extremely impatient.

But before long, everyone realized something was wrong.

More and more emergency calls came in, and countless posts began appearing online as well.

The television stations and media moved with the same efficiency they showed when fabricating fake news. Almost the instant the incident broke out, reporters and camera crews had already rushed to the front lines.

The three iron monsters bred by the Beast Plan possessed little intelligence, but they still retained their animal instincts.
