Viola eventually moved forward and stepped into the mansion. The moment she entered, she saw the dim flicker of candlelight.
The inside of the mansion seemed colder than the outside. The air was thick with the stench of mold and a faint, indistinct smell of blood.
And beyond the front hall, there was only one room.
Viola walked into the room, then abruptly stopped. In the center of the room was a very conspicuous pool of blood.
"Blood—there's blood on the floor—"
She pointed at the blood on the carpet ahead.
Lu Xiu looked in the direction she was pointing. There was indeed a pool of blood in the middle, and on the wall behind that blood, there seemed to be a sign with something written on it.
"I see it. I'm not blind."
"Then should we go take a look?"
Lu Xiu glanced at her. "If you want to go, then go. How old are you? The first thing you do when you see blood is go check it out? Didn't your dad teach you—"

Viola's face instantly went a little pale.
Lu Xiu ignored her, carefully went around the bloodstain, and, braving the heavy reek of blood, arrived at the wall behind it and looked at the sign.
[Come—to the room.]

Lu Xiu walked straight out of the room, and Viola followed close behind.
Sure enough.
The black cat was lying by the doorway, but the room the two of them had just entered had vanished.
