Mingde Hall is the core of the Sun Moon Empire's soul-tool technology, gathering leading soul engineers and advanced technical knowledge from across the continent. Its technological development is considered unusually advanced, with some of its concepts appearing disconnected from conventional soul-engineer theory. 44 47

Huo Yuhao identified Mingde Hall as the necessary “hammer” for accessing technology unavailable to Light of Truth. Rather than infiltrating by force, he planned to make the institution accept him as a soul-tool genius, using theoretical knowledge derived from Earth science, ancient soul-tool principles, and Sky Dream Iceworm's stored knowledge. 44 47
