That was the Weather Charm, an equally powerful form of magic capable of summoning nature's most violent side, striking enemies with raging winds, torrential rain, and lightning.
But this sixth-year student did not seem to have mastered it deeply. He struggled to control it, causing the wind, rain, and even lightning to form very slowly.
Naturally, the others saw his predicament.
They immediately began casting attack spells. For a time, the glimmer of spellwork flashed repeatedly.

The moment he heard the two incantations, Vaughn's attention shifted at once. Mimum was an amplified effect in spellcasting, enhancing an ordinary spell into another, higher-level spell whose power was several, or even dozens of times greater than the original.
These two spells were the amplified versions of the Freezing Charm and the Fire-Making Spell.
As the spells took shape, magic swelled in the air for an instant. Ice poured down like a great waterfall, while blazing fire surged like an ocean, roaring in from both sides.
Vaughn had to admit that he had underestimated these two Gryffindors a little. They had mastered amplification with remarkable skill, their spells flowing without the slightest hesitation as they reached him in the blink of an eye.
Cold and heat were sharply divided, yet blended together. For a moment, Vaughn had the strange illusion that he was deep-fried ice cream.
But only for a moment.
With a flick of his wand, a fragment of flooring flew over under the Levitation Charm and blocked the "glacier." At the same time, Vaughn cast another spell upon it:
"Duro!"
The Hardening Charm—a basic Transfiguration spell learned in first year—could turn an object into stone.
The instant the glacier collided with the hardened slab, Vaughn swiftly cast another spell:
"Flme Freezing"
This was the Flame-Freezing
