This was clearly a direction Dumbledore had never considered before. He was visibly stunned for a moment, and even his tone was slightly bewildered. "For example?"
Vaughn shrugged. "It's hard to explain clearly right away. Later, you can look up the documents and policies issued by the English Muggle government concerning that side, and you'll understand."
At that, Dumbledore understood.
It was probably another one of those inexplicable Muggle laws involving sanctions and the like.
He scratched his head. "But if they have demands related to Muggles, why would they come to us?"
"That's not strange. Don't you also fail to understand why they came to you?"
The wording was a little roundabout, and Dumbledore had to think for a moment before he understood. This was a matter of ingrained ways of thinking between two countries and two different systems.
To him, the complete separation of the wizarding world and Muggle society was something natural and customary.
But in the East, the integration of the wizarding world and the mundane world, without distinguishing between them, was equally natural.
As he thought about it, Dumbledore scratched his head again. This time, it was because he found the matter troublesome. He sighed. "If it really is as you guessed, then this will be difficult. I'm neither the Minister for Magic nor the Muggle Prime Minister. What can I do about their demands?"
Hearing the sigh, Vaughn rolled his eyes.
Of course, he could tell that the old man simply found it troublesome and wanted to haggle.
"Don't look at me. No matter what, the Central Academy of Qi Refining must join this potions exchange program, and we must establish friendly relations. That was part of our deal before term started!"
"—Heh heh, I see there really is nothing wrong with your head."
